Chapter FourMichael Stevens felt more than he wanted to. Learning his natural father died pierced his heart and left him wondering if Joshua McClellan ever gave him a second thought. He wasn't supposed to know the identity of his father except that the man he called dad blurted it out one night after enjoying too many beers. As a general rule, his dad acted like a natural father, and Michael carried his surname, Stevens. He doubted that his dad even remembered much about that night.
