Chapter two

Chapter 2 He was definitely one attractive man -He had a prominent, perfectly straight and narrow nose and a very strong jaw. The dark colouring of his hair and his eyes that were at this moment completely darkened as he slowly advanced towards me like a predator sizing his prey were a little maddening. Clearly, his face wasn’t at the helm of affairs at the moment. I felt like I was gong to be eaten alive and I would give anything to disappear right now. “Oh my days! What the hell happened here?” was the high pitched screech that saved me from my predator. I turned to see who my saviour was and what I could see was a man with a poor fashion sense having a near heart attack over the cracked windshield. He was not as tall as my ‘predator’ but he would tower over me at 5,4. He had straight red hair which was in a bun close to the nape of his neck and clear blue eyes which were threatening to pop out its sockets at the sight of the windshield. Honestly, I didn’t think it was such a big deal because from what I could see, it was just a scratch. “Lyon don’t tell me this is the minion that scratched your baby,” the redhead stated. Cue an eye roll. “If I may, I don’t think it’s such a big damage, nothing a quick fix won’t do,” I blurted out with a sheepish giggle. It was almost funny how two heads swiftly turned with narrowed eyes to behold the source of the utter nonsense that was said and it was at that moment I realized I had dug a deeper grave for myself. “Oh really? Nothing a quick fix won’t do huh! Why don’t I see you get to work then” Lyon said with a raised eyebrow. I know it’s not the time and place for this but damn that voice! I could listen to this all day; it was nothing like the high screech from the redhead, it was low and had a dangerous ting to it. I’m sure I was drooling at this moment because I was so far gone. Shoot! Earth to Lisa, you have work to do. “A quick fix,” the handsome dude mulled as though it was hard to believe that someone could utter those words. “You really think this is a work you can do in a junkyard or you think this is some cheap ass car I got from the dumps, the same place you got your clothes?” Ouch!! That hurts. Well I didn’t look so great but then again it’s not everyday that you get the luxury to dress like you are going to a fancy gala when your beloved brother has a near death experience. “Dude chill, yeah I scratched your car, big deal. You don’t have any right whatsoever to insult me or my clothes for that matter,” I snapped. “The fact that you drive a posh car and you are “oh so immaculately dressed” doesn’t mean you can act high and mighty with everyone you meet. I don’t know who ruined your day but you can’t take it out on me,” I retorted. “How dare you talk to him like that? Do you know who he is? He can literally buy your entire generation so you better watch that mouth of yours,” came that irritating voice. He was really starting to get on my nerves more than the condescending son of a b***h was. “Well I don’t care who he is. Even if you can buy my entire generation and every other thing you lay your eyes on, you need to watch how you speak to people.” The rich motherfucker was gaping at me at this moment as though he couldn’t believe someone as lowly as me could dare talk back at him when he did. This surely must be a first. Well I was already having a really shitty day and he was not going to make it any worse. I’ll make sure of that. “Lucas, hand her my card and for your own good, you better call me,” he instructed after he was finally able to shut his buccal cavity which was threatening to fall to the ground. The minion handed me the card which I didn’t even bother to look at and he did it with so much attitude. He was definitely waiting for this moment. With an eye roll I said, “Well you are going to wait by your phone till eternity if you are expecting a call from me. I don’t have the time for that.” Lyon let out a laugh, a very dry one might I add, “Don’t push your luck little girl, I’ll hunt you down even till the ends of the world if I should. There’s no running away from Lyon Kane,” he said with a smirk. Oh he had the most perfect set of teeth. Snap out of it Lisa, this is not the time for that. “He means it you know, you’ll regret ever crossing paths with him. You don’t know what’s coming for you,” his minion said with glee. He really could pass for a little witch, so freaking annoying. “Well Mr Kane, I’m not afraid of you. This “little girl” right here is not afraid of you. Hunt me down all you want, it’s not going to change the fact I don’t give a damn about what you can or cannot do, in fact I’ll be waiting for it.” “Do enjoy the rest of your day, I have things to do,” I concluded with all the diplomacy I could muster. I needed him to see that I wasn’t afraid of him, that I wasn’t shitting my pants but boy was I scared. I’d really bitten more than I could chew this time. I turned to walk back into the same place I came out from. With the classic toss of the head and I do hope my hair got the memo, I sashayed back to the emergency roomt and they were left gaping at me in shock.
