Lilah POV 3

I screamed into my pillow in frustration. There was no way he just did that! He KNEW I was still grieving! Why would he go and kiss me! It made absolutely no sense whatsoever! I was beyond frustrated. I fell asleep contemplating how to deal with him. the solution was simple. I would just avoid him!

The entire day at school I avoided or ignored him whenever he attempted to talk to me. He finally gave up just after lunch and I felt a little bit lost. We were in math class and I couldn't stop looking at him. He really did look like Alex but it was more than that. His personality was so similar and even the way he moved was indistinguishable from that of Alexei. And he wasn't wrong. Alex would want me to move on, but I wasn't ready to.

I looked down as my phone vibrated. Jackson: I won't make excuses. That was dumb. I never should have kissed you. I apologize for putting you in that position. Plz stop avoiding me ?

I glanced at him and saw the pleading look in his eyes. I'm sorry but I can't forgive you.

He growled under his breath. Jackson: Why, Kitten?

I sighed and ignored the text. My phone buzzed again and I looked to see it was someone else. Unknown Number: YOU FELT THE SPARKS DIDN'T YOU? WHY DO YOU KEEP IGNORING HIM, LI?

I froze. Alexei was the one who always called me Li. But Alexei died. The doctors told me that he did. The mysterious person wasn't wrong though. When Jackson kissed me, I felt sparks everywhere he touched me. It was probably just my imagination though. I glanced up and saw him watching me again. He looked like a god with the sun coming through the window and surrounding him with it's warm glow. He flashed me this half grin half smirk thing that made my stomach flutter.

I swallowed hard and forced myself to tear my gaze away from him. My phone buzzed yet again and I shot to my feet before racing out of the classroom clutching my necklace and leaving everything behind. I heard Jackson look at my phone and call for me.
