I watched as Lilah reverted back to not eating and oversleeping for the entire month that Jackson was gone. They talked on the phone for hours every day and she continued going to school and putting up a facade. However, I saw through it. She was falling for him for who he was. She just couldn't see it. It was so frustrating that she was so oblivious to everything. It only seemed to get worse after I left. I sighed and shook my head. This girl just kept getting worse and worse.

I grabbed my phone and texted Wolfe, I think I'm going to have to tell her the truth. if she doesn't hear of our relationship from you guys, she's going to flip.

Wolfe: Jackson here. Decided to put an end to thinks for now. She and I won't be seeing each other. She has to decide before I can recommit.

Wtf do you mean, Jackson!

Jackson: I mean that she knows who I am because you pretended to have my personality, so that's all she knows. All she sees is that I remind her of you. I CAN'T continue to see her knowing that. I told her that once she can see me for who I am that we can try again whatever we had going

She gave you all of the signs! she has moved on! the personality I based mine off of was yours from when we were 5. You've changed since then! She knows that you're not me! What the hell were you thinking?

I was thinking that I can't keep lying to her and that she's smart enough to figure out the connection eventually. I spent this last month getting to know her and trying to FIX the damage YOU did to her by"dying" and you think you have done right to tell me or her how to move forward in this relationship? You don't, Alexei. You lost that right when you abandoned her.

No, Alexei! She deserves to know that she's loved for who she is! You abandoned her and all of us when you decided to testify! We told you not to! We warned you! And THEN you move all the way out there and meet this gorgeous girl and just decide 'oh let me just adopt my cousin's personality ladidadida'?! NO! THAT'S NOT OKAY, ALEXEI! And I'm going to protect her with my life and make sure she knows what a healthy relationship looks like, so you can stop stalking her now! You think I haven't seen you hanging around? I was about to throw my phone in frustration when out of nowhere they appeared.

"Alexei," a deep rumbling voice that I would always recognize said. "Didn't we tell you to never come back? Get in the van, Alexei."

I complied, but as soon as I was in the van, I quickly shoot off a text to Jackson and Wolfe saying I'll hold you to that. Stay safe. They're watching. If anything happens Tell her I truly loved her and that I'm sorry.

I quickly pulled the memory card out of my phone and swallowed it as I factory reset the phone. There was no way in hell that I was letting them get to Lilah. I would do whatever it took. Let's just hope that Jackson held up to his end of the bargain.
