Chapter 5

"Zalara?" Neil called as he hit the bottom step, and instantly tensed as he met eyes with our uninvited guest.

"So your name is Zalara" He purrs and looks as if he surprises himself

A growl escaped Neils throat.

"I told you to stay away" Neil seethed as his eyes darkened and his stance heightened as if he wanted to pounce any moment.

"I remember telling you to stay in a child's place, looks like you were raised without common sense" the man said as power began to surge through his body.

He clearly wasn't appreciating Neils involvement in our conversation.

"I'm NOT a child" Neil spat stepping forward, anger and emotion rolling off of his body like a mist.

Instinctively i stepped in between them.

The man stepped toward me, obviously disregarding what just happened with Neil, reaching out his hand.

"Do not touch her" Neil spoke in a sort of maniac calm as if he was going to flip some actual s**t in a second.

The man continued walking toward me with his arm outstretched without hesitating.

"Do not touch her!" Neil said again, now moving forward as if he were contemplating the last moves of his life.

The man reached me gazing into my eyes and picked up my hand, and while i was distracted watching that hand he slid his other hand around my waist.

It was now i remembered i was still only in my towel and for a split moment my body heated up what felt like a million degrees and then all Hell broke loose.

Neil ran at him full force and all i remember is one second Neil was running up to me and the next he was crushed against the wall.

I screamed in astonishment as the man still had one hand around my waist and the hand he used to throw Neil with was now resuming its place in my hand.

No way He just threw my brother into the wall with that much force with a single hand.

No way in Hell this man that is holding me as if i'm as fragile as glass just full out crushed my brother with one hand.

I ran to Neil clutching my towel to my body and what i saw shocked me.

He was fine, the wall wasn't but he was, nothing broken physically, but mentally he looked like he just s**t himself five times over.

"How…Neil… are you" i stammered

"Im FINE!" he shouted in annoyance "Why did you shield it?" "What you think i can't take a hit?" "HUH YOU THINK I CAN'T TAKE A HIT" Neil began to scream.

All of his recent behavior began to make sense to me.

"I would prefer to not be on her bad side so early on" The man winked, fueling Neils irritation

Neil got up.

"Trust me you will NEVER get the chance to get on her bad side, or have any chance to be anything to her other than a uninvited guest." Neil spat, preparing himself to battle.

"No trust me, i was invited long before you were kid" The man chuckled.

" And i've been patiently waiting, but you keep getting in the way and the ONLY reason why you have nothing to do with her life and i haven't eliminated YOU is because she clearly has some attachment to you" He stated.

"Excuse me?" I said beginning to become frustrated., only I get to talk down to Niel."Who are you exactly?" "And since when do either of you decide who enters MY life?"

He smiled a blindingly handsome smile "My apologies, Im…."

"Leave now." Neil exclaimed.

"LEAVE NOW, NOW!" Neil screamed. Distress covering every inch of his still somewhat baby face.

"What the hell is…" Vic stopped as he too locked eyes with the bright blue ones i knew too well.

"Good morning Victor" The man said, stepping towards me as if my side was his rightful place.

And i instantly became very uncomfortable with the way this looked.

First of all im completely naked underneath this towel, which only reaches right below my ass.

Second Niel is clearly distressed and this man that i have no clue who he is is standing next to me as if all of this is so natural

Third Vic is like the innocent confused father that doesn't understand why his daughter is practically naked in front of her brother and a man who acts like he knows her in more than one way

And four did he just acknowledge Vic as if he previously knew him. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS GOING ON!

"...Hello…. Livius" Vic sighs , as he fully took in the situation. "I see you make unusual meetings a commonality"

He smiled "No, not usually, It just happened that way because I wasn't prepared to have to be sneaking around someone" He replied eyeing Neil, Who returned a death glare.

Ellie now came downstairs

"Oh…."

Is all she said. With a look of astonishment and then quickly ran upstairs and appeared again with clothes in her hand

"Put some clothes on Zalara!" She exclaimed as my bras and panties dangled from her hand

My face heats up and i stare at the floor when he leaned over and whispered into my ear

"I think what you have on now is already too much" his voice as smooth as silk.

I stammer over my words as my body heats up, boys are not my strong spot especially not super hot ones that make me feel tingly all over.

"Um ….. I ….. So yeah" is what ended up coming out of my mouth.

And when my eyes met with his it seemed almost as if his blue eyes burned with a gold background like they were molten and wanting.

He raised his hand and picked up a portion of my hair, running it between his fingers and then he looked back up at me. With eyes of a beast and i shivered.

"You are beautiful" he said, his silky voice cracking as if he were choked up with something.

I felt Ellie tugging on my arm and i followed her as she dragged me into the bathroom. I was currently a mental rock, as everything about him seemed to be intoxicating me.

It must have been very frustrating for Ellie to have to basically completely dress me because physically i was vegetative and mentally i was paralyzed.

Everything about him made me think about indecent acts.

And oh my gosh his scent. That scent of masculinity is so natural but strong. I would never tire of it in a million years.

"Livius" I say out loud.

"How does Vic know Livius?" I ask "Who is Livius to you" "How does Neil know Livius" "How many times has Livius been here"

"SHHHH Zalara! Please stop with all the questions right now." Ellie pleaded looking panicked.

"Oh how i wish he would have waited" Ellie whispered.

"Ellie?" i called but she was already headed out of the bathroom and i was now fully dressed in a long sleeved black shirt and dark wash jeans.

I looked at myself suddenly very conscious of my appearance and put my hair in a bun and followed her route out of the bathroom.

I paused before walking in and heard them talking, I glanced and Neil was nowhere to be found, just Vic , Ellie, and Livius.

"She is still very young" Vic stated.

"She will be 18 within the next two weeks" Livius responded back with confidence

"You don't know that" Vic shot back

It became silent and i looked back again and Livius was standing directly in front of Vic

"Look me in the eyes and tell me i dont know that" Livius strained

His eyes turned completely golden as they swirled like fire.

"Now tell me that she isnt going to prime within the next week" Livius hissed. "Tell me that the amount of s**t im suppressing right now is a joke" "Tell me that i didnt need to practically put 5 restraining spells on myself just to get out here this morning without losing it!" He exclaimed.

"Please" Ellie said.

"Woman , you don't understand the amount of power coursing through her body and how this conversation is really really …." Livius started

"Livius! Give us some time!" Vic shouted in a whisper. "Please".

"I swear if she primes and you let anyone.." Livius growled. His voice lowering

"We won't, end of conversation"Vic said.

"Victor….. Not everything is within your control, just the fact that i could get into this house that easily is a problem" Livius stated.

"I said we have it under control" Vic hissed.

"Please dont make me think i've made a mistake leaving her here for another moment" Livius said.

"Please!You didnt even know her name before you got here!" Ellie exclaimed "And now you want me to hand her over?!"

"I knew everything except her name, and i will know things you will never be able to comprehend about her, and the fact that i didn't know her name is whose fault exactly?" Livius glared.

"The fact that you of all people couldn't figure out her name is enough proof that she is fine here" Vic replied becoming exhausted with the entire ordeal.

"...nothing will be enough during these next two weeks" Livius whispered.

"Im sorry but i wont let you" Vic replied.

"I knew that before i came here" Livius sighed.

"Please give us some time" Ellie repeated.

Livius began walking out of the door as the sun began to rise.

"The time you have from now until she primes is all i can give" He said in a reluctant voice. " And if you let any man into this house while she is practically naked i swear Vic….. I swear you'll be astonished by the murder you will be justifying." He spoke darkly.

And he was gone.

Ellie and Vic sat down on the steps in silence and i remained hiding, with more questions in the universe than possible answers.
