I watch Hayes knock Asher James out with the sleeping powder that he had acquired from me earlier. Watching the star of the rugby team lose consciousness so easily reminds me of how serious this whole situation is. As impressive as Hayes is, I’ve always known that he isn’t one to be trifled with. It’s why I try my hardest to do everything that is expected of me. No telling what he would do if he ever gets mad or disappointed.
Speaking of disappointing the boss, I should get out of here. I’ve certainly heard enough. It’s not as if I didn’t know the reason why we’re doing this. But now, I understand better. I’d been able to read between the lines and it suddenly makes sense why Hayes feels the need to get Asher aboard his big plans for the future.
