HAZEL I’m too slow for Asher. He’s tearing through the rows of dense forest trees, basking in the silvery light of the moon. I make my limbs move faster, widening the distance between each jump. The harsh wind tears through my face. My eyes water. Asher skids to a stop and we nearly run into each other. At the last second, he tilts downward, hoisting me over his head.
