After what felt like minutes, I rocked Elisa and said “Well where do I start?”

“Anywhere you feel comfortable.” Damien said while kissing his little man on the head. He’s such a great father, always showing them attention while also keeping his head on his shoulders.

Sighing I say, “It started the moment I met Lex. You could see the way her eyes always found Luc in a room. She shivers at the pet name princess, and I believe that it's because Luc uses it for Beth. So I started using it, because I thought it would make her happy. I know she must have had a crush on him or something. Then it feels like sometimes she’s trying to be Bethany. But this is the first time she moaned his name, and I was hoping you’d talk to me about what I should do.” I waited while he sipped his beer, I looked down at Elisa. She’s going to be a heartstopper that's for sure. Her beautiful blue eyes and black curly hair.

“Hmm, I think I know what you mean. She was super touchy with him, but he believes it's only a sisterly kind of affection. Honestly, I would just talk to her about it. Maybe you two can move back to your pack and stop her from thinking or doing anything she shouldn’t. Plus I don’t want any more drama around here. I’m sorry.” I could tell Damien was being sincere, and I feel like that would be a great idea.

“Thank you! I think that’s a perfect idea! Maybe next weekend we will head back home.” I told him as I went to put little Elisa back into the crib. I lifted my beer in a wave goodbye before heading out the back door and towards my mate. Time to tell her the great news!

Lexie

I felt like something weird must have happened. Theo carried me into our room, laid me on the bed, then vanished. I thought he was going to cuddle with me or maybe we could have led to something else. Getting up, I followed his scent. I tracked him all the way to Beth’s house. I wonder what he had to do over here?

So I slipped into the front door, and walked in to find a sleeping Damien. The poor guy must have had a long day. I walked over to him and saw that little Liam was still on his lap. Well that’s not safe. So I reached down and picked the little guy up, only to have my arm catch midway through the process of picking him up.

“Sorry, I didn’t want him to fall or roll under you.” I told him, as I slowly put him back down. Damien seems to be a bit off. Must be a small nap and not proper sleep.

“Lex, what are you doing here?” He asks while getting in a better sitting situation, more like scouting further away from me.

What's up with him? I mean I was just trying to find my mate and maybe save a baby in the process. Like, if he didn’t want me to touch his little boy he could have just told me. “Damien, you're acting weird.”

Like karma, it loves to follow you. Luc just walked out of the stairway with a happy Beth right next to him. Sighing, I feel like I just got into a weird situation. “How so is he acting weird?” Luc asked while walking over and picking up Liam and kissing his little head, causing me to smile.

Sighing, Damien says “Let’s not talk about it now. I need some rest.”

Bethany walked over towards him and gave him a long hug and kiss, “Baby, you go get some rest. Me and Luc will just talk to Lex then be up with the babies.”

“Sweetheart, is it ok if Luc comes with me?” Damien asked Beth as she was just about to pick up Elisa. She looked shocked but said, “Well of course honey, are you ok?” She walked over with Elisa in her arms and started rubbing Damiens back.

Feeling off with the whole thing I say, “I was just wanting to find Theo, but saw little Liam about to roll off the couch so I tried to pick him up but Damien started acting weird and continued to hold him.” It's all out on the table.

Chuckling, Luc says “That is weird, bro.” As he twirls Liam, causing him to giggle.

These kids are growing so fast! I watched as Luc played with him until I heard someone clear their throat, it was Damien. What the f*ck is wrong with him today? “What?” I said feeling completely deflated and almost like I wanted to cry.

Lucas

I couldn’t understand why Damien was acting strange towards Lex, and now I can practically see her about to cry as she says “What?”

I walked over with Liam and just as I was about to give her a hug, Damien literally picked me up and moved me. “Bro, what the heck has gotten into you?”

I looked over, shaking my head as I saw Beth in the corner of the living room just watching my brother act weird. Then he stood in front of me, and said “I think it’s best you take the little ones to their room.”

The f*ck I am, What the heck is going on down here? I looked at Beth to see what she thought, and she just said “Luc, I think your brother's wolf is taking over and he wants to protect you. Maybe for all our sakes you do as he says for now. Maybe give the little ones their bath to calm down”

“Princes…”

I was just about to tell Beth something when Damien put his hand over my mouth and looked towards Lex like she might jump at me. Ok, this is getting way out of control. Taking my brother’s hand, I walk him into the kitchen. Maybe now he will talk. “Please tell me what's gotten you all riled up.” I asked in the softest voice while gripping his shoulder.

“Don’t go near Lexie.” He just got out when Beth walked in. “What do you mean, honey? Is Lex going to do something?” Beth asked while she started rubbing his back again.

“What am I even able to do?” Lex asked while walking in.

“Ooh good, I found you!” Theo said while running into the kitchen through the back door.

“Found me? I’ve been looking for you, but ended up being accused of something by Damien.” Lex said while tears poured out of her eyes.

Theo looked at all of us, then he blushed before saying “Let’s go home, pumpkin.”

“Pumpkin?” Lex repeated while turning her head. “Are you calling me pumpkin cause you think I’m already fat from pregnancy?”

Wow, what is happening. It’s like a new timezone. Maybe there's something in the air. “No, I was just testing out a new nickname. Does that mean you don’t like it?” Theo said while trying to pull Lex towards the door.

“Why is everyone attacking me in a non loving way today?” Lex said while full blown crying now.

“Baby, just follow me. Let’s get home.” Theo tried again, but she just pulled away and yelled “What did I do wrong?”

“You moaned out Luc’s name. There happy!” Theo said they walked out the back door, shifting mid stride and disappeared into the woods.

What did he just say? I looked at Lex to see the same confusion that I feel. “I did what?” She says while looking around mortified. Beth sighs before saying, “Is there anyone that doesn't want you.” Before she too walked away with both the little ones.
