Blooming Friendship

Cameron drops me off at home and tells me he’ll see me tomorrow for training. “Night” I say. Mom is still up reading when I walk in the house. “Hey mom I’m home. “ Mom reply’s “He sweetie how was the movie? Did you kids have a good time?” I look at mom and reply “yes, we enjoyed the movie and went to get ice cream with Damien.” I head for the stairs and as I am climbing up I say “good night mom see you in the morning.”

Beep! Beep! Beep! I hear blaring next to my dad. I look at the clock and slam my hand on the snooze button. I hate waking up early on the weekends but I have to get to training. I jumped in the shower and get cleaned up. I blow dried my hair and put it up in a bun and put on my gym shorts and a t-shirt with my Nike airs. I heard Cameron honking outside. “Hey mom I’m headed to training with Cameron. See you later.” I say. “Okay sweetie see you later.”says mom. I head out the front door with a water bottle in my hands.

“Morning Bestie” greets Cameron. “Morning Cam” I say. “Shall we be on our way” says Cameron. “Let’s go” I say. We pull into the lot at the training grounds and are greeted by Damien. “Hey Cameron, what’s up Scralet?” says Damien. Morning Cameron and I say. “Shall we get on the field” I say. “Let’s get going” says Cameron and we all head on over to the field. “Welcome and good Morning Warriors, shall we start the day sparing?” asks our head warrior which is Cameron’s dad.

“Everyone choose a partner and let’s begin.” says Mr. Carson. Damien walks towards Cameron and I and asks if one of us could spar with him. I looked at Cameron and nodded my head. “Go ahead Cameron go spar with Damien. I’ll spar with Grady for a bit.” I say. “Do you have any training?” asks Cameron. “Yes , I’ve been training since my first shift?” says Damien. “Alright let’s start. Show what you’ve learned.” says Cameron. Cameron and Damien sparred for 30 minutes and they were keeping the pace with each other real well.

“Alright warriors let’s practice hand to hand combat next.” says Mr. Carson. I continue to work with Grady while Cameron and Damien work together. The meet each other blow for blow , kick for kick. They train so we’ll together it looks like they’ve been doing all their lives. Two hours later we break for lunch. “Be back in 30 minutes “ Mr. Carson says. We all say “yes, sir.” We head for the cafeteria and grab some sandwiches, chips and a drink and head outside to eat under the oak tree.

“You two were doing an amazing job out there “ I say to Cameron and Damien. “Thanks” they say in unison. We all eat our food and head back to the training grounds for our final training of the day. “Alright Warriors its time to train in our wolf forms. Cameron why don’t you and Scarlet shift first.” Everyone shifts into their wolves and we are all amazed by Damien’s wolf. He’s a white wolf with Crystal blue eyes and is almost as big as our alphas wolf. Training goes on for another two hours and then we’re finally finished for the day.

Cameron and I head to his car with Damien walking along side us. “What are you up to next Cam and Scarlet?” says Damien. We continue walking to the cars. I turn to Damien and say “would you like to come over for dinner?” “I’d love to” he says. “I’ll follow you two in my car” says Damien. We all arrive to my house and walk in the side door. “Hey mom I’m home and I brought guests.” I say. Moms in the kitchen chopping the ingredients for salad. I tap my mom on the shoulder gently and she turns around pausing her actions.

“Oh I sweetie I didn’t see you come in. And you’ve brought company. “ she says. “Oh yeah, you already know Cameron. This is Damien he just moved here with his mom and sister.” I say. “How do you do ma’am it’s a pleasure to meet you.” He says. “Welcome to our pack and home Damien.” Mom reply’s. “What’s for dinner?” I ask. “I’m making fried chicken, potatoes and corn with salad and biscuits.” says mom. “You kids go get washed up dinner is almost read” says mom. We all go wash up and sit at the table.

I hear dads car pull in and go to greet him. “Hi, daddy how was your day?” I say. Daddy looks at me and says “Hi Princess my dad was good. How was training?” I give my dad a hug and answer “ training was good and we have a new kid in school and training.” Dad and I walk to the kitchen where my dad gives mom a kiss on the cheek. He washes his hands and joins us. “Daddy this is Damien and he’s new here. Damien this is my dad Mr. Gains.” I say. Damien stands up and shakes dads hand. We all dig in to our dinner.

Once we’re all finished mom asks “ you want dessert? I made an apple pie” says mom. We all say yea we’d love some. “So Damien what brings you our pack?” says dad. “Well sir our pack was attacked and my dad and the alpha were killed along with many warriors. So mom and I moved here with my baby sister. “ reply’s Damien.

Everyone finishes eating dessert and we all head to the family room. “Damien if you don’t mind me asking what pack are you from?” says Dad. “Well we had all just sat down to eat and we heard howls in the distance. The alpha told us to get the women, children and Luna into the safe room. Then the next thing we know we were being attacked. During the battle we lost our alpha, beta and many warriors. My mom has family here so the alpha allowed us to come here. “ says Damien.

We all talked a little more and then dad brought up mine and Cameron’s birthday celebration. I look towards Damien and ask him “would you like to come to our party?” Cameron chimes in and says “why don’t you come? It’ll be fun.” We talk more about the party and then Cameron and Damien said they better get going and they’d see me tomorrow.
