He didn’t come home that night. I stayed up until three watching the door eventually falling asleep. When I woke up the penthouse was still empty. I walked towards the kitchen letting out a soft sigh, I poured a cup of water sipping slowly. I checked my phone. No messages. No missed calls. Not from Damian, not from the school. Just silence.
