Chapter 18

1760 Words
Jessicia’s P.O.V. I went to apologize, and that’s when he pointed a gun at me and that’s when he had a bullet in his chest and I saw Alexander holding his gun in his blood coming from his side. “Oh my god, Alexander, we need to get you to the hospital, also how did you get a pistol through customs?” I asked while gently touching his side, where the bullet grazed him. “Ahh, ow ow ow, please just leave it alone. I don't need a hospital, Jonas and Dominic are right behind those bushes, have them take care of the body, while you help me take care of this.” “Okay you're being ridiculous, you need a hospital.” I told him once again. “NO, no hospital, just help me stitch it up.” he says. “Okay fine, but if it gets infected don’t blame me.” I helped him in the house and set him on my bed, well the one I was sleeping on anyway. I ran to the medicine cabinet and got anything I thought we might need, and ran back to the room. I grabbed a towel to put under him and got some sewing supplies. I sewed the skin back together and put stuff on it to try and not let it get infected. I gave him some pain medicine so he wouldn’t feel me sticking the needle through his skin. “Thanks.” he says as soon as I finish. “No problem.” I say, before putting everything, but the medicine away. When I walked back into the room I saw him trying to stand up. “Woah, woah, woah sit down you can’t be walking around. You just got shot for pete’s sake, I want you to lay your ass back down right now.” I say, pushing him back down against the pillows. I watch him until he falls asleep, then I run outside, to see that Jonas and Dominic had already taken care of the body. “Thanks you guys, for taking care of that, now if you’ll excuse me I have to go make sure Alexander doesn’t try to get out of bed.” I tell them, then Jonas speaks up. “I think you're a little bit late.” he then points to the poarch, where we see Alexander trying to walk towards me. “I thought I told you to stay in bed.” I tell him, placing my hands on my hips and shaking my head at him. “I couldn't, I missed you too much.” he replied. “That is no exc-” he cuts me off by kissing me. “You're so cute when you're worried. Also I promise you I’m fine, okay you don’t have to worry.” “Okay fine I’ll try not to worry, but please be more careful.” I say, pulling him into a hug. We walked back into the house and I made him lay down on the bed, so his wound wouldn’t reopen. I layed down next to him, and we both fell asleep. When I woke up, I saw Christian and Alek watching me and Alexander. That’s when I realized they were watching us sleep. “What the hell guys, why the heck were you watching us sleep?” I practically scream at them, waking Alexander up in the process. “The better question my sweet cousin is why is there a boy in bed with you!?” Alek said in a deathly voice. “Because we’re getting married.” I tell them, suddenly Alek and Christian both fainted. Jane then walks into the room. “Ha, I knew it. Suck on that losers.”She said pointing at her brothers, before leaving. “Why are my cousins so weird?” I ask Alexander. “How the hell do you expect me to know, this is my first time meeting them.” He says giving me a look that causes me to shove him off the bed. “Oww!” he wines after he lands on the floor. “Well you deserved it.” I then get up from the bed and put my shoes on. And walk outside. He gets up and follows me. I start walking out towards the small pond on the property. “Hey, wait, there's something I wanted to talk to you about?” He says. “What is it?” I asked, while looking back at him. “When are we going back to the U.S. for one thing and two, when should we get married?” “I’m pretty sure my flight is scheduled for two days from now, and I think it would be best to wait until after we finish school to start thinking about a wedding.” I said, before continuing to walk. “Yeah I guess you're right about the whole marriage thing, but as for the flight we could always take my private airline.” He said with a smirk on his face. “No, because my dad is picking me up from the airport, and I doubt he wants to see you, he probably still isn’t over what happened.” "I know I probably shouldn't have broken up with you, but I just didn't want you hurt." He said while staring at the ground. "That's not what I meant." I whispered, before getting up and walking towards the house again. Two days later Jessica's P.O.V. I hugged my aunt and all my cousins, before it was time for me to board the flight. Once I found my seat I sat down and looked out the window I saw the clouds. They looked so frail, like anything could break though it. That got me thinking about my own life, what if I'm just as frail looking as those clouds, does that mean I actually am frail. I got thinking about Alexander and how my dad is probably still holding a grudge against him, after all he is one of the reasons why I was so sad, but he wasn't why I wanted to die. For him I'd want to live. I thought that death was the way to ease the pain back then, but as I look back at this whole trip I see the truth. Even when he didn't have to, he followed me to another country, tracked me down, and took a bullet for me. If you'd have asked me a couple of months ago where I'd be right now I'd probably say surfing, but that was before I met him, and to be honest I wasn't entirely sure what my future had in store. But now I know what lies ahead is strong, let's just hope it's a good strength. Alexander's P.O.V. I left Greece yesterday and now I'm home Jessica is supposed to be on her flight right now, we decided to get married. I'm not sure if this is the kind of life she wants, but I know I am not going to let her go without a fight.  I’ve been in my office doing paperwork all day long, and suddenly my phone rang. I answered it and the voice on the other line was hushed. “Alexander, it’s Dominic, the mission has gone so wrong I need a new squad we have to infiltrate.” “Woah Dom, slow down, what the hell happened?” I ask him as I hear gunshots on the other side. “They got Jonas, that’s why we need to infiltrate.” He says as more shots go off. “Okay, but why do you need a new squad, what’s going on?” “I’ll tell you when you get here, bring as many as possible, make sure we can trust them only the top ranks. I just sent my location, just please hurry befo-” Suddenly the line went dead. I put my jacket on, then called one of the only people I could trust at a time like this. “Hello?” he answered. “Hey, it’s me, I need your help.” I told him. “Well son of a b***h, it’s been a while Xander how have you been?” He calls me by my old nickname. “I’ve been better, listen Nate I could really use your help, do you think you're up to it?”  “If it’s you asking for a favor I know it’ll be fun, so hell yeah.” He says through the phone. “I knew I could count on you, thanks man!” I said. Jessicia’s P.O.V. I’ve been on the plane for a few hours now, we started getting some heavy turbulence. After an hour the turbulence finally stopped. Now we were coming in for the landing. Once we pulled up to the boarding gate, we were all finally free to get off the plane. When I got to where my dad was picking me up I saw my sister standing there instead. “Where’s dad?” I asked her. “He got called away for work.” I knew it must be something serious, for Alexander to call him away from home the day I got home. Once we got back home I unpacked my bag, then decided to go for a run, to stretch my legs. I came across the Alleyway where Alexander and I first met. Then before I knew it a hand came over my mouth I instantly turned and kneed whoever it was that had come up behind me. They looked up at me and I saw none other than the boy who had saved my life at the beach. “Zane?” I question him. “Okay oww that hurt, sorry if I startled you. I saw you from across the street, and I thought you shouldn’t be out here alone. I came to make sure you were okay, but it’s obvious that you can take care of yourself. Nice moves by the way.” he says before standing up. “So what exactly are you doing out here anyway?” he asked. “I’m just out on a run.” I told him. “Oh well mind if I join you?” “It’s a free country, and anyway I don’t mind, but are you really gonna run in jeans?” I ask him pointing to his pants. “It’s called running in style.” he tells me before he takes off leaving me to chase after him.
