Chapter Five - Rejection

We shall see Edna!" she said within herself.
Edna had just had her bath after having a long morning when she heard sounds from the compound.
Through the window, she glanced down only to see the chiefs of Aman Pack.
She froze.
She remembered Alpha Ray telling her he would come for her.
Smiling, she closed the curtains and turned to her room to catch a breath.
"Go in and get her ready!" Father Duke said to his maids.
Happily, they went in and got her ready.
Madam Duke also went to her jewelry box and took some out, taking it to Edna's room.
Opening the door, "it's awesome as to how you will grow from an Omega to a Luna. I must say, I am very proud of you. I will stand as your mother too."
"Thank you ma'am!" Edna felt so touched. She didn't know Madam Edna would ever be this supportive of her.
"It's fine! Put these on." She said, giving the jewelry to the other maids to wear for her.
Edna's eyes widened in shock. She was moved to tears.
"If you cry, it will ruin your make-up, so please don't." the maids teased her.
Soon, she went down and headed to the chiefs with the help of her fellow maids.
They opened their mouths, amazed at the kind of beauty and elegance she exuded.
Happily, they took her to the palace.
Edna had never thought that such a day would exist in her life.
When they got to the palace, the royalties were already standing at the front door to welcome her.
The werewolves of Aman were present as well. Their eyeballs became larger when they saw how adorable she looked.
Their future Luna Queen was indeed beautiful.
Everyone admired her as she headed towards the royalties.
She fitted perfectly into the luxurious environment.
It was like she was already the Luna.
Luna Jessy felt proud of her son when she saw Edna as she nodded her head approvingly.
"Greeting The greatest Alpha King Tyga! Greetings The great Luna Queen of this great Pack! Greetings Alpha Prince Ray! Aman's future hope! Greetings Alpha Prince Luke!"
She greeted them each, bowing to show her respect.
They were all amazed.
They nodded in approval.
Soon, the celebration started. There was a lot to eat and drink at the palace.
The Duke family were also present to dine with them as they watched Edna's interactions with Alpha Ray.
After a few minutes, Alpha Ray then took a break to go to his room and pick up a gift he had gotten for her.
"I will be back in a minute." he said to Edna as he stood up and left.
"OK..." before Edna would finish answering, he had already run off into the upper room.
Alpha Ray walked into his room with a bright face. Heading to his wardrobe, he opened it to bring out the present.
Seeing it, he smiled.
As he was to leave, his attention caught a note on his table.
Curious as to what it was, he headed to the table and picked up the paper to read the note.
When he read it, he froze.
"Who placed this note here?" he asked himself.
He could not believe it.
The joy he once felt seemed to have vanished. His blood boiled. It must not be true!
He felt his ego shattering.
He then threw the present on the floor and stormed out of the room.
Alpha Ray came out into the crowd with disgust written all over his face.
A few people noticed it as they wondered what had gone wrong.
Alpha Ray looked at the DJ, sending chills down his spine so that he was forced to stop the music immediately.
He then looked into the crowd to search for Edna.
Edna saw his face and wondered what was going wrong with his end that she had to excuse herself to go check up on him.
By then, everyone's attention was solely on them.
"Ray, is something wrong? You don't look okay." she said, looking into his eyes.
As she tried to touch his face, Alpha Ray quickly flung her hand away.
Everyone froze.
Edna was dumbfounded.
"I want you to tell me the truth. Nothing but the truth. Are you just a maid in the Duke's mansion or the real daughter of the couple?" he asked, raising his voice so that everyone could hear him.
It took sometime before she could open her mouth to speak.
"I'm their maid. I grew up there," she said plainly. "also, I never said I was the real daughter. You never asked me either." she continued.
Alpha Ray took a large speaker that was close to him and threw it to the floor, making everyone around him cautious as they stepped back in fear.
He felt like his ego had been tampered with.
"How dare you come into my life? You are just a maid. Never on my level. I have no business with an Omega." he said, vibrating in anger.
If he had known that he was mated to an omega, he would never have dared.
"Ray..."
"Don't dare to mention my name again. Let that be the very last time," he shouted.
The werewolves of Aman could not believe what was happening as they all looked at Edna with pity.
Alpha King Tyga and Luna Jessy didn't know what to make of the situation at hand. They never saw this coming.
How could Ray reject his mate?
"I hate you, Edna, and I REJECT YOU AS MY MATE! Now get out of this palace." he commanded her furiously in front of everyone.
Tears dripped out of Edna's eyes as she turned and walked out of the palace under the watch of everyone.
Alpha Ray walked into the house in anger. He didn't need her in his life anymore.
He then thought of how that letter had gotten into his room.
He was going to find out! It had better not be what he thought.
By the time the full moon disappeared, Aman Pack was already freed of evil werewolves making Aman Pack a sacred land.
