Chapter Four-The Bite

Alpha Ray then stopped for a moment to look into her eyes more.
As they gazed, they saw themselves trying to whisper something.
They tried to open their mouths to speak and what came out of their mouths shocked even them themselves.
"MATE!"
They froze.
Immediately, they crossed necks and bit each other on their neck.
After that, they released themselves and look at the bite mark they had just placed on themselves.
Alpha Ray smiled.
"I found you!" he said to her.
"Yes!" she said as an unexplainable joy built up in her heart.
"Where are you coming from?" he asked.
She was such a beautiful person and probably from an elite background. He thought.
"I come from the Duke's mansion," she answered.
Her answer cleared his doubts.
Rising up, he asked to drop her off. Stretching his hand, she took up her hands and he took her up.
He assisted her to go take all she wanted to take from the Duke's farm, and they headed towards the car.
When Edna had seen that it was Alpha Ray, she had doubts, but on second thought, she decided to take the risk knowing fully well that she was an omega.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Edna!" she answered shyly.
"I promise to come take you out of here soon. Just be patient and wait for me." he said just in front of the Duke's mansion.
Smiling, she nodded her head and went off the vehicle.
As soon as she dropped him, she waved him goodbye while he drove off.
Smiling, she turned to go in.
When she looked up, she froze.
Theresa was standing in the upper part of the mansion looking at her. She had actually seen what happened.
Pretending that she didn't see anything, she walked in to have some food prepared in hopes that Theresa had not left another problem for her.
In the kitchen, she was preparing the vegetables that she had gone to get when Theresa walked in.
Looking her up and down, Theresa walked to Edna and pushed her towards the sink.
Going close to her, she turned her around.
"So what are you doing with Alpha Prince Ray?" she asked with sheer jealousy written all over her.
She had frozen when she saw the prince drop Edna off.
Thinking deep, "Does he know you are nothing but a maid, an omega?" she then asked.
Edna froze.
She didn't know what the consequences were, she just decided to give love a try and see how it would go.
Besides, it wasn't her intention in the first place.
Seeing Edna's reaction? Theresa laughed.
It was then that she spotted the bite mark on the side of her neck.
Theresa almost coughed out blood at the sight.
Impossible! She exploded in her mind.
Trying to be calm, she gathered herself and walked out of the kitchen.
In Aman Palace
Alpha Ray had just arrived and was in a happy mood. For the first time in ages, he answered everyone's greetings.
The palace maids and guards froze when he answered their greetings with a smile.
This was unusual! They thought as they looked at themselves.
Alpha Ray ran upstairs to see his father. He needed to see him. He wanted the whole village to hear that he had found a mate. She was so beautiful. Everyone had to see her beautiful skin.
When he went to the Alpha king's chamber, his Luna Jessy and Alpha King Tyga were present.
Glad, he walked up to them and sat down.
His parents were surprised to see him in a joyful mood.
Sitting up, they questioned him.
"Did you win the lottery?"
"Ray, what's going on? You are smiling?"
"I think I won something bigger than a lottery," he answered.
Alpha king Tyga stood up and walked towards his son to be sure it was his son.
Looking him up and down, his eyes drew him to the bite mark on his neck.
Alpha King Ray froze.
"You found a mate!" he said aloud out of surprise.
Luna Jessy froze.
"A mate?"
Coming closer to her son, she froze.
Soon, a smile appeared on their faces.
It was time! It was time he took over the throne.
Joy filled their hearts as they tried to remain calm.
"Who's she?" Alpha King Tyga asked, amazed.
"Edna, from the Duke's family," he announced.
"That's very good son!" Alpha King Tyga said approvingly.
"I am super proud of you my dear son!" Luna Jessy added.
"How about we invite her to the palace tomorrow?" Alpha King Tyga suggested.
"Not just that, we will host a big celebration and invite the people of Aman to come dine with us." Alpha Ray added.
"Awesome!" Luna Jessy then said.
She felt so happy for her son. She loved how he looked happy.
She then ordered a palace guard to inform the whole of Aman Pack about the celebration the next day.
The next day, the chiefs, along with the guards and maidens from Aman Palace appeared at the gate of the Duke's mansion.
The main royalties would be at the palace to welcome her, according to tradition.
The Duke couple froze when they saw the new development.
They were not even aware of the bite till that morning during breakfast.
Seeing the people in celebration mode, they then knew who Edna got mated to.
Madam Duke would have loved it if it was her daughter, but seeing as it was Edna, she was happy too. At least the future Luna was going to be from her household.
"Greeting chiefs!" Father Duke said, welcoming them.
"it's a great day today. We have come to bring the future Luna of Aman Pack to our Alpha King Tyga. Please present her to us, also join us because it's a thing of celebration." the head chief spoke while the maidens dropped all of the presents at their doorstep.
Theresa was dumbfounded.
She could not believe what she was seeing.
They had come to take Edna away?
