“Stay in the car,” Nathan instructed.
He removed his shirt, cursing under his breath in the process. I didn’t understand why he was taking off his shirt until I saw one of them shifting into a wolf. I screamed. The sight was terrific. Nathan eyed from the corner of his eye. He seemed not to be unfazed by the fact that I was literally shaking in my seat.
I reached for his arm as he was about to step out of the car. “You are really gonna leave me here?”
“Do you want to come with me and fight rogues?”
I shook my head and slowly removed my hand from his arm. I clearly told the director that there shouldn’t be a situation like this, and he promised. He promised. I heard we were outnumbered. What if we get killed?
