Keira was about to turn towards the corner when she heard people talking. It is not that she was avoiding people. For what reason would she avoid them, she thought. She did not do anything wrong. She was just trying to assess her environment first because she did not want unnecessary drama. She just wanted to get the heck out of that god damn of a building. She went a bit closer to where she heard the people gathering.
"The chairman has been demanding to see the COO. He will have my head if I cannot bring him to the meeting today. Contact him, do something!" said one petrified voice.
"I understand but know that I am just his secretary. I cannot demand anything from him. I did everything I could." she heard the reply.
