CHAPTER TWENTY THREE Carrie felt totally confused as Fall marched the protesting Katie Robinson to the car. “You can’t arrest me! I’ve done nothing wrong!” the leggy brunette pleaded, now sobbing with stress. Carrie couldn’t help feeling sorry for her, especially since she, too, had no idea why this was all happening. “I’ll get in beside her,” Fall said. “You drive. Let’s take her to Greenwich. We can process the arrest and question her there.” Carrie shook her head. At this moment, Fall’s decision making was beyond her ability to understand.
