Metropolitan General Hospital 27 August 2014 I turn around in my hospital bed that’s so uncomfortable, my head hurts. “She’s waking up,” somebody whispers next to me. “Hi lovely, how are you?” another person comes by my bed and starts looking at me, I feel deeply embarrassed, wearing nothing but my underwear and a blue polka dot shirt. I see them, I look at them making a fuss around my bed, coming in and out of the room as they’re calling out to other staff. There are two men there, one more or less a fortysomething and seeming like a stiff manager in his elegant suit. His face is tired and he is holding my hand, stroking it and making me feel at ease. The other is probably my age and he is wearing a shirt and tie. They are probably related, so much so they scrutinize each other
