Quest Complete

The thick iron door slammed shut as Jaxson entered through it. He found himself in a dimly lit cavern with concrete walls and broken pillars that hung from the ceiling. Vines and roots enclosed everything in sight as a narrow-hardened path was Jaxson’s only option to continue. The cavern was quiet. Almost too quiet to Jaxson’s liking as he notched a steel arrow to his short bow just to be ready. Spiders scurried over the walls and into their waiting homes that were strung up near the ceiling. Jaxson made it around a few boulders before he came into a vast foyer. The walls were cracking as chips of concrete fell from the ceiling. There was a small set of stairs to his right that led to three coffins. Jaxson stayed on the first floor as he found a small wooden chest. 48 Gems and Short Dagger added to Inventory. The archer turned around and headed up the stairs to where the three coffins laid. His feet began to rumble as pillars fell crashing from the ceiling as Jaxson rolled out of the way. The rumbling caused the coffins to c***k and crumble as roaring greeted him from the broken coffins. “Is this really how you are going to greet the Ghoul King?” A massive undead rose from the middle coffin. Steel armor cloaked him from head to toe as he raised a Steel Warhammer. “I don’t care what you are but soon you will be a dead king,” Jaxson readied himself for a battle. The Ghoul King roared and rushed the archer. Jaxson was ready as he let a steel arrow fly. The Ghoul King swatted it away with his Warhammer like batting away a fly. Jaxson knew that penetrating his armor would be tough, but he knew where the Ghoul King’s weakness was. He danced with his enemy through the cavern, dodged and rolling out of the way of the heavy Warhammer swings. Jaxson withdrew his dagger and charged the Ghoul King. When his enemy swung his weapon, Jaxson slid under his legs and stuck his dagger into the small of the Ghoul King’s back. He watched as the undead roared and threw his hands up. Jaxson slid the dagger back and forth in the small of his back as blood poured out. With his free hand, the archer grabbed a steel arrow and pushed it into the back of the undead’s exposed neck. Immediately the Ghoul King fell to his knees. “You have beaten the Ghoul King. Take my loot and you can escape the Dark Cavern.” Jaxson watched as the Ghoul King died and instead of falling into a heap of bones, his soul flew into the ceiling where he disappeared. Ghoul King Eliminated! 325 Experience Points! Jaxson watched as he grew from Level 4 to Level 6. The archer made his way to the coffins where he found a giant metal chest. Hunter’s Bow and Undead Arrows added to inventory. Inside the middle coffin, Jaxson found a gold key as he picked it up and walked to the concrete wall across from the coffin. He held up the key to the wall as the wall started to shift and rumble. Seconds later, the wall opened and a small path led out of the Dark Cavern.
