Dava grabbed the device and pushed it into her jacket. Zane took the remaining files. Soren was already at the tunnel door with her ear pressed against it.

She pulled back. "Not the tunnel. Someone is already inside it."
Mara looked at the ceiling.
The footsteps above them were spreading out. Organized. The pattern of people who had been given a map and told to fill every exit point on it.
"How many exits in this basement," Caius said.
"Two," Mara said. "Tunnel and the internal staircase."
"Staircase opens into the main records hall."
