Nobody moved.
The light under the door stayed still.
Caius dropped his hands from hers slowly.
She felt the loss of warmth immediately. Her wolf noticed it before she did, pulling toward him the second the contact broke, restless and unhappy in a way she had no time for right now.
She focused on the door.
One person. Maybe two. Standing close enough that their feet blocked the light from the tunnel and close enough to have heard every word spoken in the last eighteen minutes.
