Chapter Fifty six—Fever The rain had become violent. Thunder shook the windows hard enough to rattle the old safehouse walls, but none of them paid attention anymore. The world outside had disappeared. There was only heat now. Heat and breathing and the bond wrapping tighter around all three of them every second.
