✤ Sera ✤ I still felt a little worn out from the flu, but it didn’t matter. The moment I stepped into the classroom, a spark of anticipation moved through me. It had been over a week since I had last seen Professor Thorne face-to-face, and even though we had finally texted last night, nothing compared to seeing him in person again. I took my usual seat in the middle row and rested my elbow on the desk as I tried to settle my breathing. My body was still annoying me with little reminders that I hadn’t fully recovered yet. Lightheadedness whenever I stood too quickly, and there was still a faint ache behind my eyes. But none of it mattered. Because today, I wanted to see him. Really see him. I wanted to see how he looked at me now that we had crossed into something new. My phone buzzed once
