Chapter 5: Secret Date

Despite facing the heavy surveillance and crisis of the family, Evelyn and Alex's longing for each other became stronger and stronger, like a vine growing wildly and tightly entwining their hearts. They really couldn't stand the long separation, so they took the risk and secretly agreed to meet in an abandoned castle deep in the forest.

The abandoned castle is surrounded by mountains. The old stone walls are covered with moss. “I missed you so much…” Alex whispered in Evelyn’s ear, his voice full of affection and longing, he loosened his arms, put his hands on Evelyn’s shoulders, and stared deeply into her eyes, as if he wanted to carve her appearance into his heart.

Evelin’s eyes sparkled with tears, and she nodded slightly: “Me too, I’m worried about you every moment.”

They held hands and carefully avoided the collapsed stones and rotten wooden beams in the castle, and came to the top floor of the castle. The terrace on the top floor had a wide view, overlooking the beautiful scenery of the entire forest. The moonlight was like water, sprinkling on them, giving them a silver edge. Evelyn gently leaned on Alex's shoulder, and Alex gently hugged her waist. The two quietly enjoyed this moment of peace and warmth.

"Hurry up!" Alex took Evelyn's hand and quickly ran to the other side of the castle. They shuttled through the narrow passage, the footsteps behind them were getting closer and closer, and the tense atmosphere was like an invisible net, tightly enveloping them.

At the critical moment, Alex found a secret path, and he rushed out with Evelyn and disappeared into the night.
