Chapter 11 - Haunted House Party

POV - Felix

1 and a bit weeks later (night of the party).

a knock at the door came as I smelt her warm caramel scent I knew it was Lilly. I'd never met someone who looks so much like she smelled but with her brown skin and caramel coloured hair she really did look like a delicious caramel chocolate bar.

I gave her a huge hug "I am so sorry I have been so f*****g slack girl. I've missed you so much" she pulled back to smile as me the hugged me twice as hard.

"I have just been so worried about you. But you look better than ever... what happened to your clothes" i looked at her shocked

"I really don't think it's that much of an upgrade that you need to comment" I said as a pulled back completely as I hear Amelia laughing from the lounge

"Ladies enough chit chat at the door get inside. And Lilly get in the kitchen we are waiting for your delicious dinner. let's get moving slackers" Amelia laughed as she moved for the kitchen

we all piled in Amelia and I sitting on the island criss cross applesauce and Lilly starting to prep her space. She truly was a talented young chef and I was excited for her to meet our new friend Philip. They were going to get along so well.

"So Lilly how are things at the pack" Amelia asked casually as if she hadn't heard the rumours like everyone else.

"well..." lilly said taking a big bowl out of the cupboard. I honestly thought this was all just for display but it's fully stocked. Why have we been eating takeout for over a week straight. Lazy "Everyone is a bit uncomfortable bordering on panicked due to the whole Dee being Luna situation. Pretty much no one other than your family and Alpha Ramone think it's a good idea... The rumour is that Axel is rejecting his mate which because no one knows about you I am assuming is about Dee..."

"LILLY" Amelia screamed hitting her on the back of the head with a wooden spoon.

"Ouch. b***h" Lilly spat back. she was smiling but looked confused also. I saw as the cogs turned in her head and she looked at me with panic. "OMGoddess I am so sorry Felix I know it must be hard to hear about this I am so sorry. I just thought... I just said as I thought it... I didn't think about making it gentle"

I only wish I could confirm that it was about Dee. Confirm what she said with Axel. It's been the same thing the whole time. Sadness,

Guilt,

Regret,

and then Love... but who for...

there was also about 8 hours of bored which I assume was the drive to Alpha school... I dug down right now he was feeling anxious...

"It's really fine Lilly I'm not glass" I picked up a spoon as i said it and gave Amelia a smack on the bum "No hitting Amelia or James will give you a smacked bottom." we all laughed as I winked her way knowing he will likely give her a smacked bottom either way...

a few hours later after everyone arrived

"Human historians say, that when we were 'unaware' of the super naturals around us that on the 31st of October that we, as in humans, would have parties like this were we all dress up as offensive versions of your kinds and call it Halloween. It was to scare off spirits and keep people safe. Obviously that didn't work. If I saw any of you dressing up as human stereotypes for fun I too would start a great war." we all laughed with the human girl Sam. She was nice and she was smart studying history. It was fun chatting with her. She was also in our form class and we had gotten to know her better over the last week.

I had been looking for Philip all night he hadn't come early but he usually wasn't this late. or as far as I could tell he wasn't. I was so confused. I looked over to the kitchen to see if he was checking it out when I saw Lilly standing there with a huge smile on her face and some handsome vampire standing over her looking down with a big smile. He looked up and winked at me and for a second I thought... wait...

"Philip???" I asked in surprise

"surprise" he yelled "It worked. didnt you notice me missing for a few days??"

"well yes but I thought you were like feeding or something"

"wait what worked?" lilly asked in confusion

"Philip..." i said pointing at the now tall man in our presence "well he was a turned vampire and he was turned at 13 so he was stuck that way even though he's 20? Now he's handsome and it's much less creepy having him around" i asked

"well yes but they just aged me straight up to 25 so I get to be a bit ahead for a bit which is new. Also Creepy? really??" he laughed

"and so you and Lilly have already met. I knew I had to introduce the two chefs in my life what a wonderful surprise" I smiled and laughed looking between them. Then pausing... Lilly looked pissed... she looked jealous wait.

wait.

I know that look.

"OMG Lilly I am so sorry. Don't get the wrong idea I just... I ahhhh. You know he's not my type anyone. Plus he's super natural he'll feel some version of the... oh f**k I don't know what I am saying please don't hate me..."

With that Lilly burst out laughing and gave me a big hug whispering "I know sorry... Lucy was getting pissed I know you wouldn't plus I know that someone else still has your heart. I didn't say anything because I don't want to hurt you"

"Sorry am I missing something" Philip asked scratching the back of his neck with an awkward expression.

"Philip don't you feel the pull?" i asked c*****g my head

"Well yeah but I didn't grow up super natural I am not sure what it means I just know I really want to f.... be around Lilly more" he said blushing and turning his eyes to his feet.

"Well you're in luck we have a guest room and I am sure Lilly would love to f... explain this all to you" I said copying his sentence structure and winking at them both.

I showed them to the guest room and wandered off. I decided to take a breather by stepping into my room onto the balcony. I stood there but I felt uneasy. I tapped into the bond only to feel more love than I had felt since I ran.

I heard a rustle turning to look in the near by bush only to see nothing. I felt like I was being watched but there were a bunch of people in the back yard with with a bonfire running. The smell and the feeling through the bond bought me comfort after watching another one or I guess two of my friends have a successful bonding experience I envied them. Tonight I wouldn't question the feeling and I would take what I could get. I left down to the bon fire enjoying another hour with my friends excusing myself to go to sleep... I was exhausted.

Between the smell which felt like it filled my room and the feeling through the bond which was still lasting I easily drifted off to sleep. As I fell asleep I felt like I was being wrapped in a hug by my blankets and I knew I would dream of Axel...
