THE BUILDING ON BĚHOUNSKÁ
The building on Běhounská 3/5 is a standard four-storey rental building. But still and all, thanks to that historicist, eclectic façade, it fits within the long, nostalgic carnival range of architectural styles from the turn of the twentieth century that make Brno Brno. It was built by the Kletzl brothers, sons of a master mason, as their ambitious flagship structure. A building designed for rental flats, conceived on the plan of a modest urban palace composed of three horizontal sections, of which the middle sports a bay with a balcony and columns with Ionian capitals — simply put, a bel étage, as one said at the time, with a cordon cornice, and it was here the brothers set up shop.
