WARNINGS AND RECRUITMENT
Lieutenant Láska smiled in an almost friendly way. And there was more. As soon as Modráček entered the interrogation room, Láska turned on the hotplate and offered the architect a cup of coffee, to which he added a thin, but nevertheless dense, cigar — the smoke of which began to choke him as soon as he lit it.

Relieved, Modráček set the cigar aside and waited, nervously, for what would follow.
