The relief I felt when Ashlyn stumbled into the room was immeasurable. When the building collapsed, I thought we were dead. She held some of my weight as we stepped through the portal and into chaos. There were men and wolves everywhere and dragons in the sky.
Lily whimpered in Ashlyn's arms, and I rubbed her back. This had to be overwhelming for her.
