"Alex, will you relax? Your friends are coming over. That's it. I promised I wouldn't put you over my knee in front of them. Your continuing to worry makes me think you don't trust me, which is beginning to make me angry. If you don't calm down, I'm going to paddle you while both of them watch." Kimberly released a carefree giggle over the contradiction she'd just laid out. Alex tried to laugh along, but his grin turned into a grimace.
"Oh, stop. I promised, didn't I?" Kimberly moved in front of Alex. She reached up and ran the back of her hand across his cheek. "You would obey me, though, wouldn't you? If I commanded you to fetch my paddle, you'd hurry in with it and take a punishment in front of your friends? Let them watch me turn your bare butt pink?"
