4 It took me a long time to get over the death of my dad. Not to say that getting over my mother's death was any easier. But I had spent all of my life with my dad by the time of his death and less than half with my mom. He was the only man that's ever truly loved me. A father's love is an amazing thing. A father looks at his daughter like she's made of stardust. He treats her just as precious as if she's fallen from the heavens. Well, the good ones do. And I’d had a good one. I’d had the best one.
