Snow White: And it Begins

2150 Words
Darkness settled over the forest when night approached, masking the beauty of the trees, lulling the living creatures to sleep as the sun comes down, like every night they all waited. Men and women, the small critters to the large giants awaits for the daylight’s dawn to rise up first in the east but for now, the darkness cast it’s spell to rest. Darkness has a habit of tricking a mortal’s eyes, set forth a man in the middle of the night without a lamp and his surrounding around him turned to a potential threat for him as he travels. Trees appeared to become a malnourished monsters with their trunk as well their branches curved into a hawk’s massive crooked claws reaching into the nightly skies where the moon hides behind the steady guard of clouds passing by to cloak the white orb’s light. When the clouds gives the chance for the moon to cast it’s glow, A single bean of moonlight was all it takes to slithered down through the tangles of branches, the lines of the green leaves along with the celebrating of the lovely fireflies as they seek their loved ones, the soft, pure white glow on two cloaked figures After the strange words Snow White left her lips earlier that afternoon, Hunter did not attempt to ask further questions much to Snow’s pleasure which she outwardly showed with delight, for him to take the hint that she took it with a pleased, calm façade rewards him with somewhat, he just feels happy when he sees her relaxed. Of course, he would lie in the face of God if he confessed freely he did not desired the answers he seeks to meet the shallow, or the deep demands of her questions?   "The Forest beckons me, Huntsman." Snow mention the fact, a small curtain of what her mind consisted off, her eyes surveyed the entirety of the place. Melancholy, her heart ached seeking a tent for comfort, alone but she does not why. Snow felt in a certain way, perhaps she knows but unwilling to admit the painful truth. Of course, a shaky sigh left her lips once again, "The birds used to sing for me, once upon a time there were Seven Dwarfs, and the Fairest of them all yet there is no such thing as a Huntsman who served her."    The Forest beckons her, she says. It is true that the infamous forest notoriously known for strange sightings, a number of unexplained phenomenon, large animal-like paw prints, larger that of a bear and perhaps it escalates five or ten times bigger, worst yet it didn’t resemble anything like any living animals. Simply put they were Monsters, Seven Monsters to be precisely specific. It is wise to steer clear of the Forest lest fools barged in unprepared only to be seen ever again. “You said before, the Forest beckons you, how so?” bluntly he asks, it doesn’t hurt to take a chance, it’s not like the Princess is like the Queen who would execute him at any moment’s notice. “They say its magic, some say the Seven Monsters, they say it’s enchanted and while all of them might be true for some people but I think twice,” Snow spared a glance, she too seems confused, pondering over it the same as he was, she continued, “I do think it’s different when it comes to myself, melancholy and… my soul weeps.” She faced him, all movements ceased as she appears to soften her features. With a shake of her head she shrugged. “It matters not in the moment.” “You can freely speak what your mind freely thinks.” Hunter followed after her, slashing the fallen branches and twigs in their walk for both of their convenience, most especially her. “Why do you say so, Huntsman?” she replies with a hint of curiosity. “As you know, the Kingdom is forced to silence unless they sought to offend the Queen they think so harmless.” He spoke of the truth. After all, the Queen was an absolute perfectionist of a dictator, the rule of the Queen’s dictatorship obsessing over beauty and herself as the top. Hunter sneers in disgust, for the death of his Grandfather and his Father his callous fingers itches to strangle the neck of the filthy, wretched woman. One day he will return, in justice over the innocents wrongfully executed. For the death of his late Grandfather along with his Father, he will strive to protect what they’ve done so hard to protect, Hunter is determined to continue their legacy that has now been passed down to him. Snow turned to face him, watching him move from the clean s***h of his blade intently with a then in that instant he turned and caught her eye. So focused on taking his frame, startled she quickly averted to continue on their goal in mind. Staring is bad, she scolds to herself bashfully, biting her cheeks. Oh, how she was eager to hope he did not catch her just in time as she noticed how defined God created him. Swallowing her spit, she bit her tongue over the first time she encountered him.   "Earlier, you sound so confident that I will serve you as your companion," the Hunstman chuckled, nervously but try he may conceal the tone laced in his voice, "that is if I were not personally ordered by the Queen, what changed, your Royal Highness?" "Hm?" fear left her face, replaced with a cunning smile adorning her pretty features despite the heavy rain pouring from the skies, "How quaint, are you afraid that seducing you, kissing you will lead to your death? Certainly! If only you haven't brought down the subject of my Evil Stepmother," she feigned a tired sighed, dramatically laid a hand against her head, "then you'd be dead."  Snow White wasn’t lying before, a tall man towered over her with his appearance alone attracted her, his seducing nature accompanied with his humor played a cruel game against her, as said before his conveyed words earlier had a reason to be said out from his mouth but his words threatened her whole being, a woman as a whole entirely. Peering to the man whom God fearfully, wonderfully, and beautifully made, it’s not that hard to admit that he’s not that too much to forgive and she tries to hate it so much but she cannot. She hates it. Her teeth grits against each other, her thoughts, morals and ideals clashing to one another in desperate attempt to choose which side she’s supposed to be on. It causes her blood flowing again in a coursing, hot speed across her. It warms her mind to the point it was seething, hot coals. Snow pointedly glares into the darkness, and the abyss stared back towards her without much of a struggle but Snow White does. It frustrates her over the small fickle thing that someone like him would so easily made her gullible so much she wants to restrain herself from either – ugh! She snapped her eyes shut, it's enough to keep the gate firmly shut in her head. She take a deep breathe, a step back to relax. Snow reminds herself that there is a longer way around the roads to get there, but arriving in one piece is more important than the latter. With one final stare, as if her anger can melt it when she does before stalking off in a pointless huff. The Huntsman’s features were at best, chiseled, dirt and soil dug into his rugged appearance, she finds herself stupidly allured, taken by his dark good looking persona. His acorn-colored hair, which glisten in the moonlight illuminated from the glow above. Dear goodness, she’s acting more than a man would ever be. “I see that you are staring at me for awhile now, do I fancy your preference of men, your Royal Highness?” There he was again, his smug grin returning after a mere moments ago being consumed by his own anger. Oh of course he noticed! "I am a woman, it is bound that I am attracted towards men who are good looking. Unfortunately, they like to surround themselves with women. Loyalty is what I need in a man, are you?"  He said he would love to indulge to what her thoughts, so would she painstakingly spat utter many words out from what her thoughts consumed her to be. Hunter chuckled to himself, he heard the Princess scoffed at him. How bashful, what an adorable Princess indeed. "For the woman I love yes, your Highness." The stars glittered in the sky so beautifully like diamonds floated across with the dark heavens embraced the whole Schneewhitten Kingdom to sleep however, the surroundings around the Castle, the Palace where the Kingdom’s purity turned to a rotten core was far from asleep. Schemes, wickedness does not rest, as the devil danced around in the celebration and his servant who willingly sold herself. The Queen of the Schneewhitten Kingdom ordered countless of many wagons like that of ants piling up their treasures and goods, it flooded with all her remaining vanity in a vast array of polished shimmering diamonds, sinfully tempting topaz, deep amethyst, attractive ambers and majestic moonstones rivalled the moon itself. This followed with the following surge of expensive perfumes from far away kingdoms, rumored whitening creams, used for her never ending scourge of attaining immortal beauty. She gives and takes away willingly or by force, ordered what and who. She was nothing like the kind, gentle-nature former Queen from the distant past that remains to be loved by everyone of it's citizens. Where the old Queen had been known for her bright, full of life, and a woman of selfless love that wishes nothing more than the security of everyone. The New Queen has a dark heart, every people scorched her with their seething hatred if she were blind. A Godless woman,  nothing but a wicked, wretched filth of a they proclaimed!  In vanity she puts her everything to be beautiful, to be perfect and while her beauty spread, she was a well known woman of a devil. Full of greed, the money she spent from the people's hard work, her only one generosity to further advanced her beauty became popular. Infamous. The Queen changed everything, the order of it’s Kingdom then to the peace she threw in turmoil without an inch of mercy. The evil Queen in a maddening rage consumed every liquor the castle has to offer, she was in a maddening outrage and all her maids and servants knew what the root of her drunken rage, why she began to throw everything with wrath consuming her. In some twisted justice, Snow White caused a terrible karma in her wake not even the wealth, the wagons filled with treasures, glamorous and luxury items of possessions did not water the flaming fumes of fire her mouth spits. None of them, not one of them can fix the broken shards of the Magic MIrror scattered across the floor with the blood of Snow White. "I curse you, you wench of a girl! Damn you! Curses take the Mirror back!" In a cottage deep in the Forest, Snow White sat with her eyes closed while she leans her head on the window, seemingly she fell asleep with the Huntsman guarding over the door. Snow opened her eyes, the golden hues glowed with a purpose. She stands before the window, overlooking the distance over the Castle far away that used to be her home, one thing never changed, the roses that her Father ordained for her Mother still has a tight bind of Magic rendering them permanently unmoved. "You should rest, Princess. The night is far from being young." Hunter brandished his sword when he hears the ruffling of footsteps approaching his side. A shadow looms him, at this he raised his head. His heart skipped a beat, having her face against his, it almost took his breath away from his lungs. Her ebony hair cascaded down in dark waves, if they were a ladder he would climb them to caressed her cheeks tinted that rivaled the color of roses. She took his ability to speak, the sword in his hands that he brandished now forgotten.  "Is.. is something plaguing your mind?" he asks, his eyes fixated towards the mesmerizing golden eyes. "Yes. Every time." she drawled in a soft whisper, letting out a a dark, deceiving smile. "It never ends, dear Huntsman."
