Melissa and Daniel were in one of the third floor rooms of the same hotel as the Teacher. This hotel was plainly meant for more common travelers. The interior lacked the fine woodwork and crown moldings of the previous room. Since there were but two of them, the air circulated better, but the heat from the bottom floors seeped upward and the fall sun beat down on the roof. Melissa, clothed in the women"s fashion of this planet was sweltering. Daniel kept looking out the window for nightfall and a cooling breeze. The guards had brought their two bags and then paper, pencil, and a request from the Teacher for definitions for the observation station Thalia would build and the terms the Draygons used for trade and extracting ore. Teacher also wanted to know why the ore was important. Melissa
