As we’re driving back toward the heart of the city, I rerun the events of the day, try to make sense of them. Meeting Matt Tyrel this morning while jogging must not have been a coincidence. From the moment I signed on with the Everest Primary Program just last night, the corporate higher ups must have singled me out for something . . . red flagged me, so to speak. But for what, exactly? Do they consider me a risk? Why? Maybe they knew I was questioning the program prior to joining it. But who would have told them that? The only person I truly voiced my concerns with were my dad.
