Chapter 76After Genghis' rally, James and Thomas returned Jonah and Mavis to their private compartment and manacled them to their seats. Staring out the window at the darkness, Jonah drifted into a deep, numb sleep, the only way he could escape the nightmare in which he was trapped.
After a while, when his sleep was deepest, Stanza came to him. At first, Jonah thought she was part of his dream. Her whispering voice flowed into his sleeping mind like syrup. "Listen to me. I don't have much time."
