Prologue

I keep trying to get an answer out of Inara or Luke but neither were talking or moving. Luke had Inara’s hands in his and his eyes were solid white. What in the world is going on?

I go to grab Inara’s hands out of Luke’s when Grace and Sarah come running in with white eyes too.

“What’s going on? I ask them but neither tell me.

They run right past me and touch Luke and Inara on the temple. Grace touches Luke while Sarah touches Inara in the same spot as Grace is on Luke and they join their free hands together. That’s when s**t gets weird as hell. Their hair starts to move all around but there is no wind in the room and they all start to glow, yes f*****g glow!

I stand there watching the weird show while so many questions pass through my mind. What is going on? Do I need to be scared or just let it happen? Why are Grace and Sarah here? Why are Sarah’s eyes white, she's a human right? Should I call my dad and brothers? Ugh, this is all so confusing!

I sigh and flop down on the chair, I’ll just wait to see what happens but I think this is something that my family should be here for.

‘I need you in Luke’s room NOW.’ I say in a mind link to my dad and both brothers before I close it.

It only takes them a minute to get here and when they do all three gasp. Mike and Keith ask what was going on while my dad just smiles and says he knew it which makes me raise an eyebrow at him. The man has his secrets.

After a few more minutes the invisible wind around Inara, Luke, Sarah, and Grace stops and they all fall to the ground unconscious.
