EPISODE 4 — The Morning She Stops Loving Him
Morning sunlight spilled through the curtains — warm, golden, peaceful.
Sasha was already up.
She moved through the kitchen quietly, coffee in hand, posture relaxed, expression calm.
But inside?
She was steel.
Upstairs, Zion slept like a man with nothing to hide.
Sasha didn’t wake him.
Didn’t check on him.
Didn’t care to.
She let the silence speak for her.
Eventually, she heard him moving — footsteps, drawers, the rhythm of a man pretending everything was normal.
Zion came downstairs shirtless, handsome, glowing, confident.
None of that mattered anymore.
“Good morning, honey,” he said, leaning down to kiss her forehead.
The moment his lips touched her skin, something inside her recoiled.
It felt wrong.
Dirty.
Like being touched by someone who didn’t belong to her anymore.
Because he didn’t.
He was tainted.
Sasha didn’t pull away. She didn’t give him that satisfaction. She simply lowered her coffee cup with a calmness that could freeze fire.
Inside?
She was done.
And Zion had no idea.
Zion moved around the kitchen like nothing had happened.
“So, the new client…” he began, launching into a rehearsed story.
Sasha sat at the table, coffee in hand, posture relaxed, face unreadable.
She didn’t interrupt.
Didn’t question.
Didn’t react.
She just listened.
Listened to the lies.
Listened to the man she loved talk to her like she was too naïve to see the truth.
Every word chipped at her heart — but she didn’t let a single crack show.
On the outside, she was calm.
Serene.
Unbothered.
Inside?
She was breaking.
Not because he cheated —
but because he thought she wouldn’t know.
Zion walked into the dining room with that bright, guilty smile.
“Did you sleep okay?” he asked.
Sasha looked at him — really looked at him.
“Yes. I slept like a baby. Must’ve been tired,” she said.
Simple words.
Sharp undertone.
Zion didn’t catch it.
Or pretended not to.
He sat across from her.
“Well, it seems your new client is a handful,” she said.
Zion nodded too quickly. “Yeah, but today is rest day. Just sitting here with my beautiful wife.”
Sasha lifted her mug.
Didn’t smile back.
They ate quietly.
Then Zion’s phone buzzed.
He froze.
Just long enough for Sasha to notice.
He glanced at the screen — his face changed. Barely.
But Sasha saw it.
He stood up too fast. “I’ll be right back.”
He walked away.
Sasha didn’t look at the phone.
Didn’t ask.
Didn’t react.
She sipped her coffee, calm… but sharp as a blade.
Because she already knew.
And Zion had no idea that every move he made was confirming exactly what she’d already decided:
Game time has officially begun.
