She's very clever

When Rose said that, Daniel’s expression changed. He glared at her and asked, “What did you just say?” Responding with the same childlike innocence, Rose said again, “Marry me. Then you’ll belong to me completely. No one will be able to separate you from me.” Saying this, she hid her face against Daniel’s chest. Hearing that, Daniel closed his eyes, took a deep breath and said, “You’re far too young. You should focus on your studies. From tomorrow you’ll go to school.” He tried to push her away, but the next moment Rose tightened her hold on him and said, “No, I won’t leave you. I only want to stay with you.” Hearing that, Daniel loosened his hold and replied, “That’s impossible. You can’t be with me all the time. I have a lot of other things to do besides you. I’m not your babysitter or your caretaker. Got it?” He pushed her away and placed her on his lap, ordering, “Now sit quietly. The trainer will come in a little while — cooperate with them. I’m leaving for a business meeting. Don’t leave the room. If anyone else comes near you, stay away from them and don’t go anywhere at anyone’s instruction. Got it?” Rose’s eyes filled with tears as she asked, “Where are you going? Are you going to that bad aunt? Are you going to get engaged to her? I won’t let you get engaged to her. You must get engaged to me.” Her stubbornness and insistence changed Daniel’s face again. He grabbed her face and said, “Do you even know how old you are? You’re way too young. Where are you learning this nonsense at such an age?” Rose shook her head and said, “No! I won’t listen. You’re only mine and you’ll always be mine. I won’t let that bad aunt near you, and I will never leave you.” She clutched his sleeves like a child. Angry at her behavior, Daniel said, “You must be crazy to say such things. You’re too young. Stop this. Have your dinner quietly. I’m going.” He forcibly pushed her away and left. Rose began to sob, clutching her teddy to her chest. “No one can take my uncle away from me. I won’t let that bad aunt come near him. My uncle is only mine,” she whispered between sobs. About fifteen minutes later the door opened and someone walked in. Rose was still crying. The newcomer smiled and asked, “What’s wrong? Why are you crying? Did someone say something to you?” At that voice Rose immediately lifted her head. Max was standing there. Seeing Max, Rose hugged her teddy tighter and lowered her head. Max’s fists tightened at her silence, but he forced a smile and said, “Rose, I’m your uncle too, aren’t I? Why aren’t you answering me? Did Uncle Daniel trouble you? Tell me and I’ll punish him.” Furious, Rose shot back, “If you punish my uncle, I’ll punish you. Don’t try to come between me and my uncle.” Max’s expression hardened, but he controlled himself and said, “You’re a little too possessive about my brother. Well, that’s not a bad thing — he’s someone who doesn’t belong to anyone. If you manage to have him under your control, that’s impressive. But why were you crying? If you tell me, maybe I can help.” Rose lowered her head again; she didn’t think she had to answer anyone other than Daniel. Max understood and, a little annoyed, said, “I came to help. I heard you saying you won’t let Daniel be engaged to Alexa because you want him for yourself. Daniel refused because you’re too young, but I still wanted to help you. I could make sure Alexa is gone from his life.” He started to walk away, but Rose suddenly asked, “Are you serious? Will you really keep that bad aunt away from my uncle?” A devilish smile spread over Max’s face. He turned back and said, “Yes, I’m serious. If you do what I ask, I will make that Alexa disappear from Daniel’s life.” Rose immediately agreed, “Okay, I’ll do whatever you ask. But I only want my uncle. I don’t like that bad aunt and I don’t want her near my uncle.” Max’s smile widened. He came closer, took her hand and said, “Then come with me. I’ll drive Alexa away from your uncle right now.” Rose nodded and Max began to lead her away with a mischievous grin. But then Rose suddenly stopped. Max asked in surprise, “What happened, kid? Any problem?” Rose whispered, “But Uncle told me not to go anywhere with anyone else. So I can’t go with you.” She tried to pull her hand free. Max smiled and said, “But you’re going to do something good. This will make your uncle truly yours. Otherwise, tomorrow when he’s engaged to Alexa you’ll be helpless.” Rose, still innocent, said, “I want to be engaged to my uncle.” Max’s face tightened with anger for a moment, but he controlled himself and said, “You’re still too young for that. Still, I’ll help you. Come with me. We don’t have much time.” He gripped her hand more firmly and added, “Yes, come — we don’t have time.” He pulled her along. Rose stumbled and asked, “Where are you taking me?” Max smiled, “To where you truly belong — your real home. You don’t have a place here.” Before she could react, Max hoisted her onto his shoulder and hurried downstairs. Dileer was already waiting below. Seeing the three of them, Dileer smiled and said, “This is the perfect chance. Daniel isn’t here now. Take her and feed her in pieces to the dogs. Our pets are quite hungry; they need some soft meat.” Rose didn’t react — she just listened. Max grinned and said, “She’s become very clever, wanting an engagement with Daniel at such a young age. If she grows up like this, who knows what she’ll do. But she won’t get the chance to grow up — she’ll die today.” He laughed loudly. Rose’s eyes widened. She screamed, “Let me go! Where are you taking me?” Max laughed and said, “You’ll be taken to the spot that suits you. Screaming won’t help because there’s no one here to save you. The one who could has gone to a meeting and won’t even know we’ve taken you.” Rose grabbed Max’s hair and cried, “My uncle will punish you. He won’t spare you. You’re bad! I hate you!” Max dragged her to the slaughterhouse. People were already cutting meat there. Max handed Rose over to them with a laugh and said, “She talks too much — first take out her tongue. I want to see her tongue being cut.” The butchers nodded and laid Rose down on the cutting table. Rose screamed, “Uncle!” Will Rose survive?
