Inside the grand hall…
An older man paced furiously across the room, while a young man of about twenty-eight sat lazily on the sofa, puffing on a cigarette.
“Dad,” the young man said calmly, “I think you should relax. Don’t overreact. Let Daniel come. We’ll talk to him.”
But Diler Wilson barked in rage,
“I told him to kill our enemy! Instead, he brought back the enemy’s daughter. And you tell me to relax?”
The young man fell silent. Just then, footsteps echoed in the hall. Both men turned toward the entrance, where Daniel appeared, gripping Rose’s hand tightly as he walked in.
The young man’s eyes landed on Rose— and instantly, his expression changed. Rose was breathtaking. Though still young, her beauty could disarm anyone at first glance. He immediately sprang to his feet.
“Oh my God! Now I understand why you chose to save her instead of killing her!”
Daniel froze at those words, his grip tightening on Rose’s hand until her eyes watered with pain. She lowered her head silently, not daring to protest.
But when Diler saw Daniel with Rose, his fury erupted.
“Daniel! Have you lost your mind? What are you doing? You brought her here? Don’t you know she carries the filthy blood of our enemy? Why didn’t you kill her? What game are you playing?”
Daniel’s voice was ice-cold.
“I’m no child to be told what to do. I know exactly what I’m doing. So it would be better if you stayed out of my business— because I am handling mine perfectly.”
With that, he turned, pulling Rose toward the lift.
Diler’s voice roared after him,
“I never expected such defiance from you! I brought you back from Paris to Italy— was it for this? To shelter the daughter of our sworn enemy under my roof?”
Daniel halted, then gave a crooked smile.
“Yes, you brought me here. But the decision to come was mine. And if I’ve brought this girl into this house, then I have my reasons. Reasons I don’t feel the need to explain to any of you. One more thing— no one in this house will speak about her again.”
He started walking again. But suddenly, the young man blocked his way.
“Brooo, wait!” he grinned. “At least introduce me to this beauty first.”
Daniel’s eyes turned steel.
“Max. Move.”
Max smirked.
“Hey, I’m older than you. At least call me brother. But fine, I’ll forgive you for that. Still, you’ll have to introduce me to this girl.”
He leaned toward Rose, his smile wicked.
“Baby girl, you’re really beautiful. What’s your name? Will you be my friend? I’ll keep you very happy.”
Rose’s face stiffened in fear. She immediately hid behind Daniel.
In a flash, Daniel shoved Max back with his hand pressed hard against his chest.
“Stay away from her! She is absolutely mine!”
He scooped Rose up in his arms and carried her straight to the lift.
Max and Diler exchanged furious looks.
“Dad, did you see?” Max growled. “He pushed me aside for that little girl. What’s so special about her that he’s acting like this— against his own brother?”
Diler clenched his fists, anger burning in his eyes.
“I don’t know why he brought her here. But I’m certain there’s a reason. Daniel never spares an enemy— he wipes out entire bloodlines. And yet, he let this girl live… and brought her home. There’s a secret behind this.”
Max fell silent for a moment, then smirked slyly.
“Well, Dad… I want to play with that girl.”
Diler stared at him. Then, slowly, a twisted smile spread across his face. The two of them burst into loud, chilling laughter.
