You're liar

904 Words
The next morning, the Wilson mansion was buzzing with preparations. The garden was being decorated beautifully, and the whole place was full of activity. Diler was barking strict orders at the servants. “I’ve allowed the media inside, so not a single mistake should happen. Today, my son Daniel Wilson is getting engaged. Remember this—if even a single mistake occurs, you’ll all pay with your lives.” The servants, terrified, nodded quickly and scurried away. Diler smirked and muttered to himself, “Finally, today I’ll gain two benefits—first, my son’s engagement, and second, the profit that comes from it.” A strange smile curved his lips. But then his eyes fell on the elevator, from which Rose stepped out. At once, his expression changed. Rose wore a black frock, clutching the same shabby teddy bear tightly to her chest, gazing around with wide, curious eyes. Seeing her, Diler snapped angrily, “Until the engagement is over, I’ll keep this girl far away. Who knows what she might do—and because of her, who knows what my son might do.” He strode straight toward Rose. As he reached her, he barked, “Why did you leave your room? What business do you have wandering out here?” Startled, Rose lowered her head in silence. “I asked you something! Why are you here?” In a soft voice, she replied, “I want to see my uncle… Where is my uncle?” Diler sighed sharply. “Look, my son is not your servant or personal caretaker to be trailing behind you all the time. He’s Daniel Wilson—the number one business tycoon in Italy. At such a young age, he earned that position—not by staying home, but through day and night of hard work. Right now, he’s at the office. So go back to your room and stop hovering around him.” Rose kept her head bowed, but then timidly asked, “Is there a function happening today?” Diler was about to scold her again but stopped. Then, with a smile, he said, “Yes. Today your so-called uncle is getting engaged. After today, he won’t be yours—he’ll belong to Alexa. So you’d better start keeping your distance from Wilson now.” Rose’s head jerked up at that. Looking at him, she whispered, “But Uncle is mine. He can’t get engaged to anyone else.” Diler’s eyes darkened. He glared at her from head to toe. “Do you even know your age? At this age, you dare to think about making my son yours? You’re talking nonsense because you lack brains. But don’t worry—today that delusion will shatter. My son will be Alexa’s after this engagement, and then you’ll have no claim left. Now stop roaming around here. Go sit in your room—there’s too much work to do.” With that, Diler walked off. Tears welled in Rose’s big eyes. She ran back to her room, threw the teddy bear on the bed, and began smashing things around. “Uncle is only mine. He’s only mine! How can he get engaged to anyone else? He promised me he’d stay with me forever, that he’d never belong to anyone else. Uncle, you lied to me! You’re a liar, Uncle! A liar!” She smashed the night lamp, tore down the curtains, and thrashed like someone possessed. “You’re a liar! You said you’d always be mine, but you lied! Why, Uncle, why did you do this?” Servants passing by heard the chaos. They stopped to whisper. “Is this girl insane? Since the day she came here, this house has had nothing but drama. She creates trouble every time. What was the master thinking, bringing her here? She seems psycho to me,” one muttered. Another added, “You’re right. Whenever I take her meals, she refuses, saying she’ll only eat from the master’s hands. Until then, she starves. Tell me, how can an eight-year-old girl go hungry so long? She waits only for him.” A third whispered, “And now she’s screaming because she doesn’t like that the master is getting engaged, saying he’ll belong to Alexa from today.” The others were shocked. “But what does that have to do with her? She’s just a child. How can she be in love with him? There’s such a huge age gap. And she calls him uncle! Why such madness?” Another said nervously, “I don’t know everything, but I’ve heard it was Mr. Wilson himself who burned her father alive. And yesterday, I overheard that a doctor had come… maybe the girl isn’t mentally stable.” “Oh God! Then we should stay away from her—she might harm us too,” the first servant whispered, and they all hurried off. Meanwhile, Rose sat amidst broken glass shards, tears streaming down her swollen, red eyes. Scratches covered her arms and legs, but she didn’t seem to feel them. She sat like a deranged soul, muttering to herself: “Uncle, you’re a liar. You said you’d never belong to anyone else. Then why are you with that bad aunt? Why are you getting engaged to her? You can’t do this. No, Uncle—you’ll have to get engaged to me. Then you’ll belong only to me. Only me, Uncle. Just mine.” ---
