Gracie's Point of View
Something about the girls that were rescued from Citrine was bothering me, and for the life of me I couldn't figure out what it was. Nine girls were in nine beds. All different shapes, sizes, hair color. I looked at each one of them in turn.
Ciara, Chantal, Gemma, Debbie, Olivia, Hayley, Clare, Kate and a Jane Doe who had been through far more than any of the others. Each of them were sleeping peacefully thanks to the medication I'd given them.
I'd reached out to Blake and Piper Morgan of the Amber Moon pack. Theirs was a much more contemporary pack and more than half of their wolves worked within the human world. Several members of their pack worked in a world-class human hospital and we were currently arranging to transfer the girls out of our territory.
