CHAPTER 28

— Isaac —

When we arrived home I instructed albert to prepare food at the Balcony on my room for dinner. Anika had enough for today so I want her to sleep early, by that I can have a quick meeting with my team. I haven’t check the envelope yet that contains the background of Anika.

“Love, prepare for dinner Albert will prepare food at the balcony.” I said as we enter the room. I noticed she’s been silent the whole ride going back home.

“Can I stay in my old room?” She’s asked, hopes flash her eyes and I regret to remove those.

“Please stay here love, I don’t want you staying away from me since uncertain things are always around.” I said holding her hands. She didn’t disagree anymore and walks into the bathroom, with that I know many things are running into her mind. 

She’s with me, but her mind is blowing somewhere. I know there’s a lot bothering her, and that includes Jenny.

I also took a quick shower at the other room and change my clothes for dinner. When I came back I saw Anika chatting with Albert and Amelia while they prepare our food. She looks alluring in her sexy shorts and white top, revealing her thin stomach.

The air in the balcony is so fresh and windy that makes Anika’s hair a beautiful mess.

“Is the dinner ready?” I asked as I walk towards them and hugged Anika as I come near her.

“Are you hungry?” She asked holding my arms that is hugging her comfortably.

“Looking at you? Yes! So much.” I said teasing her that makes her glare at me.

“Who said you can glare at me like that?” I said in a serious tone.

“You can’t glare at me like that” I added then rain kiss all over her face and her neck.

She laughs while trying to get out from hug and kisses.

“Stop it Isaac” She said while still laughing.

“Dinner is ready, ma’am/sir” Amelia said bowing on us then left the balcony with Albert

“Wow! Delicious” Anika said looking at the food on the table. I pull the chair for her to sit comfortably.

We took time eating the food prepared by Amelia and Albert. Anika was so into the food that she ate much, but as expected this woman never had a problem when it comes to her body figure.

When we’re done eating and chatted for a while, Anika went to the bathroom to prepare for bedtime. She’s tired and I know she will slept early and I will took that time to attend to my business.

“Sleepy?” I said as she walks out of the bathroom wearing her paired shorts and top that makes me drool at her.

“Yes” She said and lay down on the bed beside me.

“You might want to cover this part unless you want me to cover it using my body.” I said covering her body with cuvette.

She didn’t respond, instead she turn around and wrap her hands around my body.

“Ahh, so like it this way huh?” I said teasing her.

“Just shut up and hug me tight, I’m sleepy and tired.” She said and I position myself facing her putting my arms into her waist.

“Good night my Anika” I uttered, looking at her that seems to be memorizing every details of her beautiful face.

When Anika put into slumber I called Jake to get everyone at the Library for a quick meeting. On my way down I saw Jake.

“Is she asleep” Jake said

“Yeah! I think, because if not, I’m in danger” I said as I open the door revealing the boys waiting for us.

I stand on center and look at everyone who is sitting around the table with their mafia faces on.

“I know everyone saw what happened a while ago here, no one will open up to Anika about Casper, and the ongoing investigation about her. No one talks to her about our business, and about Jenny. Jenny will be with us but not physically since she had some task to do.” I saw every nod. 

“I want all updates on our business and the opening casino on my table tomorrow morning. Dismiss!” I added and every one steps out of the room except for Jake.

“Have you read the files about Anika?” Jake asked when everyone is out.

I didn’t respond and waste no time, I open the envelope and read Anika’s file. I was flabbergasted seeing her file.

“Are you sure this information are all true?” I asked Jake trying to convince myself with what I have read.

“Jenny was also shocked when she knew that, that is why she went here immediately but things didn’t go her way.” Jake said

“But who was her biological parents? Why Jenny can’t trace that?” He said in disappointment.

“No one talks, because the papers was too clean for anyone to see dirt.” Jake answered then shrugs.

“I know someone who can help us.” I said thinking of Anika’s father.

“I have to get things in a hurry before anyone takes her away from me. This is hard, we don’t know our enemies.” I said in frustration and run my hands on my hair with frustration. 

“Anika is not just some famous young doctor.” I said in disbelief

“She’s a Mafia Heiress” I said still processing the new information about her.
