Chapter 5

“Because of you, I am afraid, Because of you, because of you, Oh” As I sing the last line of the lyrics in the song, while pressing the keyboard of my piano, when I open my eyes I saw Madelene standing near the door, I saw amusement on her eyes. She used to watch me perform when I was kid at school.

“You’re voice is a music to everyone who listens to it, I miss your voice echoing in this house” She said caressing my hair. This woman looks at me with hurt in her eyes, full of sympathy. My childhood life is hell if this woman is not by my side, she loves me like her own and treats me as an heiress

“Your parents want you downstairs, you have your visitors waiting for you” She said while holding my hands. I just nodded. I know those are the guys who bought me.

“Tell them I’ll be there in a minute” I said with a half smile, she turned her back and stepped outside the room. I went to the comfort room and look at myself at the mirror. I look disgusting. I went to my old room and look for clothes and makeup. I scan my closet and choose a black high waist jeans, black sleeveless and a pair of black 2 inches heels, I’m only 5’3 so it will look good since I’m wearing high waist jeans. Why all black? Because today, is the burial of my parents in mind, as soon as I will leave this house, I will also forget that they were alive.

I quickly change and put some make up, I need to cover my puffed eyes from crying hard a while ago, I just used light make ups because it’s the only thing available in this old room. I look at myself at the mirror and scan myself, I looked better in black than wearing a sweet dress, that doesn’t suit my situation right now. I was about to go outside when I saw the sea, I photograph it in my mind because this might be the last time I will see this beautiful scenery. I stepped outside the room, I even left my phone. I don’t want to hear anything from my parents when I leave, that would be easy for me to bury them in my mind.

 As I walk downstairs I saw goons standing inside and outside the door, some standing behind the man sitting in the couch in front of my father. This might be the asshole who wants to kill everyone who will not follow his god damn instructions. When they heard the sound of my shoes walking down the stairs, they all look at me, everyone including the asshole. I almost slip when I saw the asshole looks like a Greek God, but with a lot of tattoos all over his neck and arm. He wears a suit but I can see it through his hand, beside him was a man same height as him less of tattoos but brunette.

I saw the asshole bit his lip and smirk, I rolled my eyes at him. He comes near me and waited as I step on the last staircase.

“Hi fortunate one” He said, I saw genuine smile in his eyes. I don’t know why, but this jerk seems familiar, but his from Greece, so guess I’m just making things up. I ignore him as I rolled my eyes and turn my back against him. I walk directly to the kitchen to get some water.

“This way to my office” I heard my dad said, then footsteps so I guess they’re at the office finishing that stupid business thing.

I was about to step out of the door when one the goons try to stop me.

“Where are you going ma’am” A tall dark guy ask me

“None of your business” I shot back and continued walking, one of the guy with blonde hair hold my hand tried to stop me “Who do you think you are to touch me?”I yelled at him angrily and I twisted my hand and now I’m the holding him that makes him kiss the floor. Another guy hold my shoulder through my back, without facing him I raise my right elbow and nudge him hard, when I turn around to look at him, his nose is now bleeding. Someone tries to hold me again so I kicked him in his goddamn balls. “Pity” I muttered. Does they don’t research about me? They must have known that I know Karate. I kicked another 4 guys in my left and right who’s trying to touch me when I feel something was injected on my back. I felt dizzy, my vision becomes blurred and suddenly fall into the assholes arms.
