Chapter 25 

-- Anika –

  “Who are you?” I made sure I pressed the gun hard on her head just in case I don’t get the answer I wanted to hear.

Instead of answering me, I heard her chuckle which makes me irritated even more.

“I asked who are you?” I said in gritted teeth pushing the gun into his head that makes him bow a little.

She stands and face me and that makes me move backward for a little caution. When our eyes meet I took the time to scan her from head to toe, she looks a couple or three older than me, she’s also taller than me, she have brown eyes like a cat that blends to her white complexion, she a total Greek chic, I said to myself.

“So you are Anika?” She said raising her brow.

“None of your damn business” I said, now she knew me but I completely don’t have any idea who is she.

“The famous young doctor in America, I really don’t expect this but you look so young, are you only fifth teen?” She said laughing, now she’s really getting into my nerves, I suddenly regret having this braided hair style.

“for the last time I will ask you, who the f**k are you?” I said ignoring all her teases.

She suddenly moves to get the gun but I managed to throw my bag and the gun flipped into the air and before she catch it I kicked it opposite her direction and landed on the couch. She walks through the chair to get the gun so I kicked her that makes her fall on the ground. She stands and looks at me angrily.

“Strong for a baby girl huh?” She said smirking.

“Come and get me mama” I said teasing her which makes her glare at me.

She walks forward to punch but good thing my reflexes are quick I cover my face and tried to attack her instead, I tried to make her fall by kicking her legs but she’s good enough bend that makes me fall on the ground instead.

“Even” She said smirking

I attack her by kicking her head but she also kicked in defense, followed by our unending punches. Every punch is hard and forceful like we knew each other for a long time and built a grudge on each other.

After punching all the attacks she did, she was able to grab me on my neck and push me on the wall. I hold her wrist and twist to loosen her grip followed by nudge on her face. She was startled and her mouth bleed, I took this time to escape but she kicks me on waist and was thrown to the floor right on the spot of the gun. I grab the gun and stand fast pointing the gun into her, the door suddenly opens revealing the boys.

Isaac was shock and stood at the center while Jake walks to the girl looking so concerned that makes me confused. The boys stayed at the door way exchanging look at each other.

“What the hell is happening here?” Isaac shouted angrily.

“Who the hell is she?” I said still pointing the gun at her.

“She’s my sister” Jake answered so worried to her sister’s bleeding mouth.

“I’m sorry Jake, but I don’t care if she’s your sister. I’m asking who is she and why is she here?” I said in gritted teeth. My eyes still battling with her, she doesn’t even get her eyes off me, looks at me so angry and seems embarrassed and the same time

“She’s here because of a job” Isaac answered which makes me mad even more. Why does everyone speaks on behalf of her.

“Since you’ve answered on behalf of her, what’s with the envelope?” I noticed that envelope was placed in front of her which I know consist of important things. Nervousness flash on Isaac’s eyes, but instead of answering my question he walks towards me and kissed my head.

“I want everyone out of this room now” Isaac shouted while slowly getting the gun into my hands.

The boys turn around and rush out immediately in the room.

“Should I bring you to the hospital?” I heard Jake asked her sister while stepping out the room.

“I’m a doctor, I can treat you” I said that makes her glare at me even more.

“Stop it Anika” Isaac said.

As soon as everyone was out, Isaac faces me and looking at me like wanting to tell him what happened.

“What?” I said angrily

“What happened” He inhaled before he asked

“No Isaac, who is she? What is she doing here in your office?” I asked consecutively.

Isaac rubs his temple and moves closer to me.

“She will soon be part of this group” He said that makes me what to shout madly.

“What? Why? Is that necessary?” I distance myself from him to show my disapproval in his decision.

“Love, I need someone to replace Casper” He said softly

“Why don’t you just recruit someone not her” I said trying to convince him.

“She’s been with this world since we were young and she knows the business well too.” He explained

“You have to understand Love” He added

“But I don’t trust her.” I said, I know Isaac is also losing patience but I will insist my instincts

“You have to, she’ll be part of our family.” Isaac said emphasizing the world family.

“It’s either she stops coming into this house or I will stop living in this house” I can’t control my madness anymore, I don’t know why but next thing I know I was shouting at Isaac.

“Stop acting like a child Anika Scott” Isaac shouted right into my face, I don’t know where this feeling came from but my tears started falling down my eyes.

This is the first time that Isaac shouting at me, and it is because of a girl, a girl I don’t trust. He didn’t listen to me before about Casper but I was right before, my instincts was right, now I know she will no good for our relationship but he don’t want to listen again to me.

I grabbed my bag and run outside the room, I don’t want to stay in a house where nobody believed me. Nobody was in the living room even outside was empty, so instead of going upstairs I run outside and good thing the car we used a while ago is still parked there, I climbed immediately and drive faster. I saw the boys run outside to stop me but that only makes me drive even more faster, I will remind them that I’m a car racer.
