Chapter 15

It’s been a week since we had our movie date, at last her mood swings were gone and her witty personality was there already. This week she was full of enthusiasm that she always shares to my men, I know the guys are letting her into the family not because she’s the girl of their boss but because of her personality. She found an older brother with Jake and younger brothers at Henry and Harold whom she always tease when playing games on their phones. Lately buck was making her busy by teaching her Jujutsu, she’s always into sports which is good and can be great factor to keep her safe. Everyone is becoming close to her, except for Casper whom I find it odd, she watched her for ten consecutive months and I can’t find any reason why his not close to Anika. I remember one time Anika told me he don’t trust Casper, I either trust no one when it comes to her.

Today, I woke up early to have an important business meeting, this one is on my legal business here in the country. I made it possible with my man in the police departments and politics. My father built a great foundation before he left me which really helps me maintain the group. My uncle tried to steal the throne from me but he didn’t succeeded because I killed him before he I let him kill me instead, that is why I trust no one, blood relation was not an excuse for me not to remove them on my way when they mess up with me. I made my own family with the men I have now, they gained my trust by sweat and blood, I don’t just recruit people on my team, they undergone many obstacles before they become one us. Traitors were always be there on the way but they can never tear me down.

I walk into Anika’s room before I go downstairs to eat breakfast, when I open it, I saw her sleeping comfortably in her bed wearing her not so tiny night gown revealing her soft skin. This girl is not even doing exercise but her stomach is still thin. I enter the room and cover it with comforter and kissed her head before I walk out of the room. I left a note into her bedside table telling her I’ll be back before lunch. I’m planning to take her to the mall to buy a camera since she always nagged me about buying one. I’m sure after that next thing she wants to do is to roam around the city to take photos and I can’t wait to hear her nagging me about that, what she wants was better than being a doctor again, I know it’s her passion and one time she told me she wants to do it again but I refuse knowing many are after her, I can’t let her for now, maybe someday once everything was totally under my control.

On my way down I saw my men waiting for me, I will not bring them all since there is a lot of things to do. I instructed Jake to bring Henry and Harold with him to check the status of the club that is about to open here, I will take with me Earl, Buck and Christian. Casper and Caleb will stay here with Anika, She can’t stay alone in the house with just the guards.

I leave first because I told Jake to wait for Anika to wake up before he leaves and make sure she has anything she needs before he left. I check my phone from time to time to track Anika, she’s so on her room.

It’s almost two hours before we finish the meeting, it took that long because they want things under they’re rules but they can’t outsmart me, it’s either my way or we will not have any partnership, at the end of the day, my condition ruled the meeting, we’re done signing the contract and we’re about to eat our food when my phone suddenly ring in an emergency tone. I almost flipped the table in front of me knowing that was Anika who is in danger.

“I have to go, I’ll call you for the update of our partnership” I said and run into my car followed by my men.

“Drive faster” I yelled at Buck, I was sitting on the passengers.

I get my phone on my coat and dialed Jake’s number. “Where the hell are you? Anika is in danger, return to the house now” I said yelling at Jake.

“He was with Casper and Caleb, we will go now” Jake said on the other line

“That Casper will experience hell” I said in gritted teeth.

My anger suddenly drifts down seeing Anika’s name flash on screen, calling my phone.

“I’m coming home love, are you okay?” I said almost breaking my phone holding it so tight.

“Please come back now” Her voice was cracked, my heart was crumpled knowing I can’t do anything to save her at this moment.

The line was suddenly dropped, that bastard might have taken her phone. We are almost at the house, as we were getting close my blood boils higher, I take out the gun from my back which the boys also did, I take out my phone and check where is the location of Anika, and she was at her room. I didn’t wait for Buck to stop the car I opened the door and jumped out already. I saw Jake and the other men running also to get inside the house.

I kicked the door to open and run into the staircase. I told them that Anika was in her room. I almost run upstairs just to reach her room. I almost startled hearing a vase bang on the floor, as I reach the door I open and Anika falls right into my arm and catched her before she fell on the floor, Casper was trying to get up on the bed wearing no shirt so I shoot him on his right foot, he doesn’t deserve to be killed already, he needs to experience hell first.

I look at Anika who was shaken and so weak.

“What took you so long?” Her tears falling down her cheeks, I felt pain because I let this things happened to her.

“I’m sorry, don’t worry you are safe” I said cupping her face.

“He drugged me” Anika said and lost consciousness, she’s too strong knowing she was already drugged but can still stand and hit a vase on Casper’s head.

“Call a doctor” I said shouting at my men and carry Anika into my room.

“You know what to do with that bastard” I said looking at Jake before going to my room.

I placed her carefully on the bed, I called Amelia to come up and clean Anika. I sit on the side of the bed caressing her face, her tears were still there, I wanted to kill everyone because I can’t accept the fact that these happened in my own house. Where I always keep her just to be safe, not knowing traitor was also living here. Thinking of Casper makes my blood boil, I will make him feel hell on earth before he meets Satan. Someone knock the door and I knew it was Amelia, the doctor is already here following Amelia as they entered the room.

“I smell some kind of aphrodisiac on the other room” Mr. Tan said while checking the eyes of Anika.. Mr Tan was a friend of my father, they’re clan serves as a doctor in my family, and it’s been decades since the bond of the family was made.

“She said she was drugged” I told him still looking at my unconscious Anika.

“That answers why she was so pale and unconscious” Mr. Tan said and take out a syringed and dextrose.

“Amelia will clean her first before you put that thing in her body” I said looking at Mr. Tan who immediately packs his things and go out of the room.

I dialed Jake’s phone number to tell him to send guards to secure my room and make sure no one is allowed to enter except me.

I walk downstairs to the left wing going to the dark room. The dark room is hidden in the library, there is a hidden door going to the dark room, only the boys know about this. The dark room is where I used my skills in killing people, and Casper belongs there.

I walk fast just to get there, because I can’t wait to kill the bastard.
