Chapter 9

--Anika—

I woke up with a heavy head due to crying last night. I still can’t believe I was an illegitimate daughter. I look at the other side of the bed it was empty. Isaac was already nowhere to be found in this room. I get up and go to the washroom to brush my teeth and use alcohol mouthwash and then wash my face. That is my daily routine before doing yoga or any exercise, I even changed my clothes but since my life was not like before. I don’t know what routine I should do to start a new day ahead of me. I get a new towel and pat it gently to my face before throwing it at the basket. I walked out of this two door room still amazed with this mansion, our house back home was also big and beautiful but this house in huge and luxurious, the paintings and chandeliers looks vintage and costly. This mansion is huge but I can’t see people as I was already at the stairs going down at the first floor. I saw a big piano in the right wing of the first floor facing the sea. I feel like it’s calling me so I run into the piano with a wide smile on my face like a kid and sit in front of it and think of a song to play.

I started pressing the keyboard and sing.

♫♫ There’s a song that inside of my soul, it’s the one that I tried to write over and over again, I’m awake in the infinite cold, but you sing to me over and over again, so I lay my head back down, and I lift my hands and pray, to be only yours I pray, -- to be only your I know now, you’re my only hope. ♫♫

I open my eyes as I sing at the last sentences of the lyrics, I almost jumped from sitting when I heard applauses around me. When I look around I saw Isaac and his men were already there watching me sing and play the piano. I’m used to this so with confidence I bowed down like a princess and smile.

“How nice to start a day like that, is that song for me?” Isaac said

“You wish” I said and roll my eyes.

“I don’t wish, I do things, wait – you’re still wearing that, you can’t wear that in front of them” Isaac said and look at his men who immediately look away and walk towards the kitchen.

“What do you expect me to wear? I don’t have clothes” I said with irritation

“Let’s eat breakfast then after that let's go to the mall, I’ll buy you everything you need” He said in a husky voice

“Oh c’mon stop seducing me” I said and then turn my back at him and walked towards the kitchen where everyone is sitting and chatting happily in a long table.

“Everyone, I want you all to meet my wife, Anika” Isaac said looking at them with a dominating voice.

“Don’t disrespect her, because if you do. I’m not going to give it a damn even if we’re family here, if you disrespect here, you disrespect me" He added that makes everyone nodded at him. I felt proud and radiant knowing someone is protecting me, all my life I stand on my own, and this man beside me makes me feel special and deserving. Isaac holds me at my back escorting to my seat right behind him where he seats of course at the center of the table.

“This is Jake, his my right hand man, his my best friend, his like a brother to me” pointing to a brunette man who has fewer tattoos than Isaac.

“Glad to finally meet the person who make this man crazy” He said giving a welcoming smile, I’m about to offer my hands for handshake but he chuckle and Isaac get my hands which gives me confusion

“No shake hands little sister, a sign of respect to this guy here” He said while tapping the shoulder of Isaac.

“That is Casper, he is the one who found you and make sure no one touches you for the past 10 months while I am away” He gestured to the man with a blond hair and green eyes, he looks likes my age. I suddenly felt disturbed with this person.

“That one is Christian, Caleb and Earl, while these big guys there are my sniper, Henry and Harold, they’re brothers. On the other side are Earl, Gabriel and Buck, they’re good at bombing and lab experimenting” They all smiled while the Buck look at me contrite.

“If you can still remember buck was the one who injected you, but don’t worry he learned his lesson” Isaac said looking at me with assurance.

“We’re all family here, everyone look for each other.” He said and there started eating.

That was the first time I sit in a table feeding not just my tummy but also my serotonins. After eating I walked straightly to the bedroom, followed by Isaac whom I bet will also take a bath since he told me we will go the mall to buy everything I want. When we arrived at his room I spin around and look at him my hands folded over my chest.

“We can’t stay at the same room tonight” I said in a serious tone

He chuckle before he speaks “Why are afraid of me?” and then walked near me that makes me step backward locking me at the corner of the wall. I almost held in gasp knowing his too close to me that one wrong move are lips will meet. I don’t like to know he makes me tense and gives me shiver at my spine.

“Should I?” I said looking straight into his eyes, those dark grey eyes I’m getting used to see, if this will not end I think I’m going to melt. Thanks God he removed his hands and turns around and walks into the couch.

“Okay, let’s not rush things” He said and exclaimed then continued talking

“There is available room on the left side of this house here at 3rd floor, that’s just few steps away from me, before we go out I will tell Amelia to clean and have it ready before we came back.” Looking at me showing he don’t like the idea. I smile immediately at him.

“Thank you Mr. Isaac” I said teasing him

“Don’t you dare think of escaping out this house” He stands and walks towards me, and look into my eyes seriously. I nodded at him in compliance

“I want to hear your voice, to make sure you understand, I’m serious about this Anika”

“Yes” I said almost an utter. It was the first time I saw him that serious.

“I just don’t want to lose you My Anika” I feel him kiss my head, and then leave the room.

I took a quick bath because I know I’ll be taking time looking for clothes at the closet of Isaac. As usual I have Amelia wash and dry my undergarments. I can’t find anything from his clothes hanging so I looked at the folded ones. I saw plain round neck t-shirt and think of a while, and that’s it. I put on my thongs and bra and then the khaki shirt, it fell right half of my legs, it looks more like a dress. I search for a belt that would fit mine and I found a cotton Hermes belt, I put them on for the shirt to fit, my chest and my butt fits perfectly with help of the belt. Nice? asking myself while looking in front of the mirror. I started combing my long hair and since I don’t have anything to make it look nice I just let it flow touching almost my butt. I get my heels and put them, I was on the staircase when I saw them sitting at the couch looking so irritated waiting for me.

“What kind of clothes is that” He said in looking so pissed

“Ask the one who bought it’ I said rolling my eyes into him.

“Yeah, I know thats my cloth, but you don’t look like going to the mall, you look like going to the club” Raising an eyebrow

“As if I have choice” Raising my hand from side to side.

“You better stay near me” He said pointing his finger on me.

Finally, we arrived at the mall. Buck, Casper and Christian came with us.

“Where do you want to go first?” He said and then grabs my waist pulling me near him.

“Let’s go check an skinhub here in the mall, I need to pamper first our body before getting clothes, besides you need one too” I said and chuckle that makes him raise his eyebrow.

After a whole body massage and some treatment, we went to Apple store, a lady come near us and started looking at Isaac like a sweet cupcake he wants to taste.

“What do you need sir?” She said in flirty voice that makes me roll my eyes.

“Don’t ask me, ask her” Isaac said while holding at me not even giving a glance at her flirting style. The saleslady suddenly pouts and turns at me annoyance.

“Stop acting like a b***h and get out of my face, I want a male server here” The saleslady was shocked and scared can be seen through her eyes, she left and called a man who looks like their manager.

“What?” I said to Isaac who is now looking at me in confusion.

“I need a iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPad Pro 12.9, 13 inches Macbook Air, Apple watch and airpods” I said with excitement. I look like a kid who was given an opportunity to buy an ice cream.

“What color ma’am? He said politely

“Rose gold for iphone and iPod, space gray for Mac book, white color for airpods and for watch if there is available for Gold Aluminum Case with sports band we will get that” I said while Isaac still holding my hands.

“And Oh! Black cases for all items” I added

After a while the man escorted us to the counter and Isaac take out a card without even checking the prices. We headed at the Victoria’s secret, and Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Zara, Gucci, H&M, Dolce and Gabbana, Adidas to get some workout clothes, Rolex, Balenciaga, Tommy Hilfiger, Armani and Tiffany & Co. We went last to Watsons to buy for my hygiene. We we’re on our way to the parking area when I notice Casper, Buck and Christian is carrying a lot, what I mean with a lot is really full handed. I let out a small chuckle.

“It’s my first time I enjoy shopping” I said to Isaac who’s still holding my hands, thinking I will escape from him. 

 “Are you hungry?” Isaac said while opening the passenger’s door for me

“Yes, I want to try your food here in Greece” I said excitedly before I get in the car

“Okay, I’ll take you to my favorite place’ He said then started the engine while the three big guys follow us.

While on our way he took his phone and call Amelia to reserve a seat for two in the private area.

“How about the Casper, Christian and Buck? They’ve been with us since morning, I can’t eat knowing they’re just waiting for us outside, remember they’re your family” He looks at me like a brat

“Amelia, reserve a seat for two in private and good for three table near the private areas.” He said and then hung up the phone.

On our way to the restaurant I was in awe seeing the beauty of Greece. I can’t help but to take pictures.

“We should have bought a camera” I said looking so regrettable

“Next time My Anika” He said with a smile curve on his lips.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we headed straight to the private area and the boys stayed outside the room. We eat while me talking a lot and him just laughing and listening. I just feel comfortable with him, maybe because of the idea that his telling that he loves me. His the first person who told me that and I feel like exploding knowing that someone can love a person like me.

On our way to his mansion, I still took pictures of the place I want to draw when I got bored, I even took a stolen picture of him leaning on his Ferrari 488 Pista, I chuckled silently inside the car and look at him knowing that photo was beyond his knowledge.

“Falling in love already” He said still looking at the road

“You should learn to be humble first” I rolled my eyes at him and look at the window.

The boys carried the bags upstairs, I was on my way also when Isaac speak

“Anika, get ready at 7pm, I want you to dress well” He said emotionless

“Why? We’re going out again?” I ask in confusion

“Just do what I said” He said then left which makes me annoy, I hate it when people suddenly turn their back at me.

I was on my way to the two door room in front of Isaac’s room. When I open it was also big but not as big as his room and sadly I cannot see the Mediterranean Sea from here. The bed is also big and it has a bean couch on its right side facing the windows. It also has 52 inch flat TV and a speaker. I check the clock in the wall and it’s just 2 in the afternoon so I still have time to sleep. I’ll just alarm at 5 to get ready before 7pm. Sleep come to me as soon as I lay down the bed.
