Chapter 17

--Isaac--

I went to my office to finish some papers first before we flight going to Maldives. I called Jake to gather the boys for a meeting at the library and call me when they’re complete. I have to settle everything first before leaving them specially we have new club opening and upcoming business in partnership with Takamoto family as we signed the contract today. I was reading the last file on my table when the office telephone rings on my table.

“Isaac, everyone is here” Jake said on the other line.

“I’ll be there in a minute” I replied then hang up the call.

When I finish reading the file, I signed it already. I’m hands on in every business that we build that’s why it grows, and Jake is one of the factor why all of them succeeded, our partnership is the best.

I stand and buttoned my coat as I walk into the library. When I open the library door everyone was there sitting on the long meeting table waiting for me.

I didn’t mind sitting on the swivel chair at the center, because I want to see all of them properly, I want them to understand every instructions that I will be giving because this will be the first time I will be leaving the pack not for business purposes but for personal reasons, and I don’t regret doing that since it’s for my Anika.

“I will be out for a couple or three days, but I want you all to be hands-on on our business” I said in a serious tone looking at everyone.

“And I dare you not to f*****g fail me on this” I added which makes everyone looks anxious, which is good because I know they will take this seriously.

“Jake will be leading while I’m away, if urgent matters needed you can call me, but avoid it, I don’t want Anika see me doing Mafia things while we’re away.” I said looking at Jake.

We’ve been there inside the library having meeting for more than an hour. I gave task to everyone which will be supervised by Jake. I know I can trust Jake on this, after all the planning and giving task, I asked them if they still needed questions, since no more questions. I need to dismiss them because I have to pack our things.

“You all have to be f*****g serious about this, I know I can test everyone on these times” I said in a wrap.

“Is the plain ready” I asked looking at Jake

“Yes, they will be here in an hour” Jake replied looking at his Rolex watch I gave him on his birthday last year.

“I have to go then, no girls allowed on this house” I said that makes them chuckle I know these boys, very well.

I left them on the library and walk into my room. Anika was still on the bed sleeping so peacefully. I called Amelia to pack our things. I went to my closet and look for clothes that will be pack by Amelia. Next I went to Anika’s room to also get some clothes for her, I choose five paired dresses and skirts and got swim suits for her also, I asked Amelia to get her undergarments. I also instruct her to get some of her hygiene’s and make’s up though I used to her see her without wearing make ups. When I’m done, I went to office to talk to Jake about personal matters.

“Isaac” Jake shouted who was already standing inside the office door.

“I knock many times but you’re not responding, Anika will be bothered when she wakes up seeing you like that” He added while he sat on the chair in front of me.

“I need to have a full back ground check about Anika” I said placing the file Casper gave me when we found Anika.

“I know Casper didn’t tell me everything about her and I want to know full story of Anika, I cannot protect her if I don’t know everything about her.” I said leaning on my swivel chair.

“Is that all?” Jake asked still looking at the file

“I want every small details of her, and keep this personal” I said looking at him straight into his eyes.

“No problem, can I have Jenny on this matter” He asked, Jenny was his sister from his father’s mistress, though they’re just half sibling Jake accept her like his real sister. Jenny grew up with us and she’s also into this Mafia.

“Yes but make sure she will keep this between just us three” I said and then Jake nod in assurance.

“By the way, the plain will be ready in less than 15 minutes” Jake said before leaving the office.

I lean on the swivel chair and closed my eyes trying to calm myself. This is the first time I can’t control things, situations don’t go under my circumstances. I have to plan things ahead for Anika. I have too..

The plain has arrived, the boys carried our things into the car. The doctor and nurse sent by Mr. Tan are already here.  I travelled with Aniika into the ambulance holding her hands all through our way. When we arrived at the place, the pilot is outside waiting for us including Mr. Tan who is outside the plain ladder standing.

“Mr. Isaac, I came to properly orient the one’s I sent to look after Ms. Anika” He said as we walk into the plain.

They transferred Anika into the bed properly, Mr. Tan checked her for the last time before he left. I brought with me Henry, Harold and Earl but they will not be staying with us at Maldives. I already secure the area before we get there, to assure no intruders.

I sat on the couch near Anika, I tried to sleep but I can’t, I can’t keep my eyes off her, it felt like days waiting for the crap dextrose to be empty. I get my laptop and started checking my emails and track my parcels to get myself busy. I don’t know how long I’ve been busy responding to my emails when someone knocks the door and disturbed my concentration.

“What?” I said in irritation

“Boss the doctor is here, she wants to check on Anika” Henry said on the other side of the door.

I look at my watch and it’s one in the morning already.

“Let her in” I said and closed my laptop.

The doctor come inside followed by the nurse, the dextrose was already empty, they removed it already including the needle injected to Anika. The doctor takes out of her stethoscope and check Anika’s heart beat.

“Mr. Isaac, she’s okay now sir, she’ll be awake in no time” She said smiling at me while showing off her big t**s.

“Get out” I said in irritation.

I look at Anika and she doesn’t look pale anymore. She looks better, I panicked when she suddenly murmurs something while sleeping.

“No!” She utter, I sit into her side and whisper in her ear.

“eínai entáxei, I’m here agapi” Her smell gives me shiver. (eínai entáxei- it’s okay, agape- love)I sleep beside her whom she also does, she spin and place her head on the crook of my neck. The fragrance of her hair makes me sleep instantly. The next thing I know, we we’re at Maldives.

“Boss our men are on the site securing your area, we will leave now” Henry said and I just nodded in response.

This place is beautiful but I can’t appreciate it as of now because Anika is still asleep. I hope she wakes us soon to make this beautiful place amazing.
