Chapter 6 The sound of his breath echoed as he stared at the word kill, and he dropped the note, an icy chill running up his spine. His gun was out. “Down!” he shouted as he flashed his light, but his brothers and his dad just stood there, looking around. He gestured to them, because they were targets, and said, “Dad, move! Get down over there.” He took in the dead woman and moved to the front of the church. “Who’s here? Come out now!” He shone his flashlight, seeing nothing but an empty church, and turned back to see his dad flashing his light the other way, looking around. “Don’t see anyone in here,” Chris said.
