Her eyes darted up from the feed to see a creature run by closely followed by a figure on the back of a horse, it came to a stop outside her farm and asked her. "Ma'am, have you seen a wild boar run past? Which way was it heading?" Was she to condemn an innocent creature to death or was she to be a witch of justice and say nonsense? The question rattled in her brain for a few seconds as she stuttered a sentence before she could actually say anything a loud yowl of pain is heard in the woods. Presumably, it was the boars' final moments of life, perhaps it should have disturbed her or at the very least tempered her, however, the death of a wild animal was nothing but ordinary at this point even if saddening. While grabbing a bucket she heard the rider come back towards her, recalling that her wand was tucked into the back of her dress under a strap. Blood seemed to drip down the beings' armour, she wondered if they were from the empire nearby. "May I help you?" He lifted his helmet revealing cold charcoal eyes. "Where is your husband Ma'am?" "Pardon." Narrowing her eyes at the stranger and feeling her shoulder tense up, he replied nonchalantly. "Your husband ma'am, it is against the temporal law for a woman to be out without a husband, father or male guardian." When she opened her mouth to speak the door behind her opened, a young man with coal hair that almost had a blue tint to it and he came over to her. His hand fell on her shoulder and with a toothy grin he charmingly answered the hunter, "Forgive her young man, she was feeding the animals on my behalf." The hunter began rambling about the law to them and she noticed he was carrying a crossbow, her hand slowly reached towards the wand from behind but suddenly felt the man grip onto her wrist. He waved as the hunter rode off and turned her back to him. "Rein that was dangerous, you shouldn't have reached for your wand." "And what about you Ombra? Transforming into a human form which only lasts a short time? You could've exposed us!" As if on cue he gets a light glow around him quickly turning back into his cat form which she rolled her eyes too. Rein folded her arms while raising an eyebrow at him, "Retransforming out in the open now?" A repetitive tap filled the air as her shoe clapped the floor softly, the cat only mewed in response before she leaned down and rubbed his head, stroking his soft ears being reminded that she can't stay mad at him even if she wanted to. She stretched her arms heading back inside beside her familiar before scanning the books on her shelf, eventually pulling out a thick book and blowing the dust away. "What are you doing?" Flipping the pages over she glanced up at Ombra, "I want to know more." Humans, mortals, the most common being alive and overpopulating. Their reactions to witches were either absolute fear or acceptance, most were fear leading to fire executions. Elves, elegant and deadly, they ranged in height with the average being tall. Even though they didn't fully approve of witches it has been known for elves and witches to work together. Fae, these were the most unusual of the legions, not exactly evil but not exactly good either. Fae is to be approached with caution. They are unpredictable and if they offer you a deal BE CAREFUL AND PAY ATTENTION TO EVERY WORD THEY SAY. Sirens and mermaids, there were two types of sirens and one mermaid. The first Siren called Mersiran were sirens with the wings of a bird, gills and beak that went from underwater and land, whereas, Lasirans were bird-like humanoid creatures that if offended in the slightest way would shrill until the eardrums break. Thirdly, Mermaids, these creatures resembled fish more than human and lured sailors to drown themselves. Lastly, werewolves and vampires, these creatures although common in dealing alongside witches were rarely sought out for and should only be reached if absolutely necessary... "...a vampire will require a blood sacrifice and will most likely try to backstab as they put their clan before the deal whereas werewolves are to be feared the most; not only are they ruthless they are savage and do not hesitate to kill. Like vampires, they are dedicated to the pack, although they are less likely to backstab they have been known to mark witches." "Found all the answers you're looking for?"
