Lisa placed a steaming cup of coffee in front of her, Gabriela thanked her and stood by the glass door admiring the sunrise, its beautiful orange glow and sprinkles of violet by the side, the morning was beautiful and she hoped her day would be as beautiful.
Finishing her cup of coffee, she headed straight to her room to prepare for work.
In no time at all, she came out of the bathroom and checked her closet for clothes to wear and chose blue jeans, a white single strapped shirt, and a violet-dyed jacket. She selected her brown sandals to go with it, it was a bit of a surprise to her Lisa didn't have clothes ready for her, maybe she was getting tired.
In her usual style, she tied her hair in a low bun and applied little mascara and lip gloss.
Stepping out of her room, she hurriedly rushed down the stairs reaching down, she sighted her mom petting her lapdog. Strolling to her, Kiki recognized her and gave a cute bark, in turn directing her mother's attention to her.
"Gabriela," her mom said in surprise.
"Good morning mom," she said leaning forward to peck her mom.
"You look ready for work," her mom said, she gently ruffled KiKi fur earning a bark from her.
Such a feisty dog.
"Yes mom, my shift would start in an hour."
She glanced at her wristwatch, "I need to start going, goodbye mom," she leaned in pecking her.
"Goodbye Kiki," she waved at her mom's dog, she barked at her again earning a smile from her.

Getting into her car, she drove out of the yard.
In no time, she reached the hospital parking lot and found her space reserved.
She entered the hospital and waved at some of her colleagues. The wide passage provided a view of the patients in the waiting room, she recognized some of her patients, she waved at them, her attention divided. Suddenly she hit someone and fell to the floor, her head was throbbing from the hit. People stared at her and her supposed hitter. All her belonging in her purse strewed across the tiled floor, she groaned in pain.
"Are you okay?" a masculine voice asked, that voice seemed familiar.
"Sorry I bumped into you, I wasn't watching where I was going." she apologized and picked up her belongings placing them back in her purse not minding their arrangement. He bent down to assist her, she looked up at him and lost her breath.
It was him at the party. Erm... His name, she tried to recollect his name.
" You! what are you doing here." she said in a whisper, and eyed him suspiciously "Are you stalking me?' She asked.
"No... I-" he was interrupted by a nurse who approached Gabriela.
She greeted both of them then faced Gabriela," Doctor you are needed."
She nodded at the nurse collecting the phone from George's hands.
"...Erm, I need to go," she said, leaving him standing. He watched her retreating and marveled at his luck.
George laughed inwardly at such coincidence, maybe fate is really on his side.
Who guessed that the lady that never left his dream, ever since he met her would be here right in front of him.
Wait for it, working in the same hospital as he is.
Initially, when he received his transfer here as a cardiologist, he wasn't really in a good term with it. He missed his former workplace but a stinging reminder of his broken relationship kept on lingering around him.
He still couldn't get over the betrayal of his girlfriend, it hurts so much he decided to take this job to heal his broken heart.
Who knows his recent transfer to Chris memorial hospital would be a recovery medium for his love life. Last two nights he met a very beautiful lady, today he found out she works in the same place as he.
On her stroll to the ward of her patient, Gabriela had her thoughts reeling to the man she bumped to.
What is he doing here?
Maybe he is sick. Why is she even thinking about it, everyone is allowed to the hospital, he might be a patient or a visitor.
Maybe he came to visit Melisa. Melisa is his friend.
Right! He was at Melisa's house party meaning she would know about him.
Later at lunch break, she decided to go to Melissa's office, it was a short stroll since the pediatric ward was very close to her ward.
Coincidentally she met Melisa locking her office door.
"You are just the person I want to meet," Gabriela announced smiling at Melisa.
Giving her a short hug, they walked along together.
"You are so radiant today" Melisa teased.
Gabriela rolled her eyes playfully, "Is it a crime to be?" She playfully retorted.
"Anyways, I bumped into someone earlier this morning, you won't believe who it is?"
"Who?" Melisa said, curious.
"Erm, the guy with me at your backyard, sitting on the swing," Gabriela said.
"You mean George.?"
"George, is that his name?"Gabriela asked.
"I see someone getting interested."
"Stop your silly assumptions," Gabriela said shrugging off Melisa teasing.
"Back to the initial question, what is he doing here?"
"Oh, George works here now." Gabriela had her jaw dropped.
"He works here now he is a cardiologist," Melisa added casually.
"Talking about being interested, I think he likes you."
"I don't think so, he is just annoying and I know where this discussion is heading Melisa."
"I am just saying, if he is interested maybe, you should give him a chance. How would people react if they know you have never dated anyone!" Melissa whispered.
"I don't care what people think, we've had this conversation so many times. I told you I don't what to date."
"Why?" They both turned to the owner of the voice, behold it was George.
