"...That's," Althea started having second thoughts.

"Young Miss, please reconsider. I can guarantee that Aileen works hard and didn't say a word of complaint," Matron Rone finished her statement.

Ye Ai didn't squeak a bit in their exchange. She wasn't afraid about this face-off. She knew she wouldn't lose the job. If she had those goons convinced her do those dirty rumors then a simple scene like this was a much easier pie for her. Provided, her actions wouldn't be realized by the world law or her system. Hopefully she won't need to act today anyway.

"Fine," she finally gave in. "My tigers need someone to feed them."

"Young Miss? How about Horam?"

"Exchange their tasks."

"...Yes, Young Miss," Matron Rone didn't know whether the girl Horam would celebrate this exchange of jobs. Feeding those tigers was an easy job but the girl was always scared to be eaten. She hoped this new girl wasn't such a scaredy-cat.

"Thank you for your grace, Young Miss," Ye Ai didn't forget to give thanks and praise before the bug—err, woman finally went out of the hallway.

"You're lucky the Young Miss wasn't feeling bad today."

"I know, Matron Rone. And I understand that everything is thanks to you, too. Thank you," she stated with watery eyes. This feat has never let her down.

"This... no need to thank. You be watchful, the Young Miss used to have her tempers. Although she has changed for the better but you still need to watch for..." and because of that good feeling between the two women, Ye Ai had to suffer for an hour of reminders and suggestions from the matron who really only wanted to help her.

Time passed by in the household of the Grand Duke and Ye Ai has been fleeting above clear clouds since her only job was to feed those big but lazy white tigers. They really looked majestic and probably scary for most but they simply looked tame when Ye Ai was around.

"I told you so, Xiaoyi. These cuddly things hated me."

[I told you so, Host Ai, that rabbit was abnormal.]

"Well, we both agreed to that."

[It's just sad I can't check further into the database about that abnormal creature.]

"You really believe it came from our space?"

[There's no other explanation ah.]

'But I am here,' Ye Ai thought but never voiced this response.

Unfortunately, the transmigrated bug—who Ye Ai decided to now call with her name, Althea, noticed her laid-back condition. Although she did more than feeding, sometimes even helping around the mansion, Althea still considered Aileen’s workloads to be too light. So aside from attending to the two tigers, she had Aileen work as her personal errand girl.

She was guarded if this girl would try to injure her or maybe make her a poison taster, but no, nothing of sorts happened. It turned out that she's a bit lacking in the underhanded tactics department but her ambitions and overly optimistic idealism were topnotch. And it turned out she wanted to personally change this kingdom!

"I don't understand. I know I'm doing it correctly but it's still not working!"

Ye Ai listened to the maddened screams of the bug—err, Althea. For a whole month now she had been trying to re-invent the Steam Engine. She wanted to industrialize the what she called the backwater kingdom of Alcada.

"What? What is missing??" she asked herself while looking at her working materials and drafts.

Ye Ai would have let this woman go to successfully reinvent things if only she wasn't trying to be a thorn to her. Why? Because this woman's main reason for all these changes was to kick the Royal Family from their high pedestal. She wanted them to die of dog's death since they humiliated her and her new family. If Ye Ai let that happen then she'll have more work to do. This also meant she had to remain in this world for a longer time just to finish her goals covertly. Thus, she sabotaged the inventions and projects of this bug—Althea.

"You! Take all this rubbish away! They are all wrong! All wrong!" finally losing her patience, Althea flung everything off her working table.

Ah... in these instances, Ye Ai was half-swayed to start OOC-ing. For a long time she hasn't dealt with such characters. Moreover, after she was imprisoned, she has decided to never repeat her past.
