Chapter 11: The Transmigrator and Aileen (11)

1124 Words
Since the days were peaceful, the Crown Prince's grand party eventually arrived without any hitch. The Grand Duke and Althea had already rode to the castle when another carriage arrived by the mansion's grand entrance. Then a cloaked figure from inside silently slipped through and quickly entered that carriage. It then started towards the castle without any commotion. The castle was grandly decorated inside and out. There were wonderful lighting everywhere and exquisite decorations around. The lanterns gave the ethereal feeling like seeing a moon castle in person while the fragrance that seemed to envelope the whole area made the attendees believed they entered the fauna and flora kingdom in the legends. The path also has small lanterns lining it, giving direction towards the grand double doors while beyond them, the veils draping the walls gave the heavenly and magical feeling to everyone.  Althea felt very mystical when she set her foot down from the carriage. She never thought that she'd experience something she'd just read in novels or watch in the movies. It was very moving and she admitted that the ancients had their ways to show extravagance and beauty. Even the magnificent masquerade mask she's wearing added the mysterious effect of tonight. She felt wonderful and can almost taste the romanticism in the air. But suddenly remembering the reason for coming here, she haughtily reminded herself that back in her world everything can be remade and even made better. When the father and daughter of the Grand Duke's house entered, every person's attention turned to them. It wasn't because of the shame they received upon the annulment of the engagement between the Royal Family and their house but because of another issue. In fact, they've already forgotten that part of their history. People simply can't wait to flock the two of them and talk about their other creations or if new ones were coming. The ladies specially loved the beauty regimens like the so called conditioner which made their hair much silkier and more fragrant. The men, on the other hand, enjoyed the tools produced especially the so called screw and the drivers which gave a sturdier and more elegant handiwork.  But then the Royal Family arrived to start the night so they had to wait later before mingling about since their utmost respect and attention were expected on this opening ceremony. The night has only started when a commotion was heard from the entrance. A cloaked figure arrived and remained standing there. The figure looked thin and had an average height, probably a young man or a blooming girl. Allan who had an idea who this might be neared the Crown Prince and whispered. He wasn't even done when Prince Rhomeo stood and pushed towards the entrance with wide smile and very excited expression. "Your Highness!" shouted the guards. They'd never let any suspicious person came near their prince but since this guest seemed to have an invitation card or else he or she wouldn't get through the gate that's why they didn't act offensive. "Stay down!" shouted Rhomeo as he strode next to the figure. "Aileen?" he whispered. The figure untied her cloak and let it slide. The people in the hall can't help issuing gasps. What greeted everyone's eyes was a goddess. She wore the very pristine white gown sent by the Crown Prince but the man himself couldn't believe what he's seeing at that moment. It hugged her body, especially her bosoms and waist perfectly yet still retained her wholesomeness. Even the Silver Colombina, the masquerade mask he sent her, looked ethereally different when she's wearing it. The only part of her face that's visible aside from those enticing eyes were her perfectly red and luscious lips and the pale cheeks that reddened from blushing due to cold outside or the attention of people inside, no one can tell. It was even much of a pleasure to watch her silky raven hair flowed freely where the ends bounced in big curls. She simply was too perfect. "Happy birthday, Rhomeo," she whispered breathlessly to the stunned man beside her. "My princess... you're so beautiful... wonderful...perfect," he answered in a trance. A soft giggle was heard which made people felt rush on their cheeks. The lady's attention was not yet with them, how much more was the Crown Prince was feeling. Rhomeo led her to the high table and let her meet his parents. He kept her identity from everyone and the people indulged the two young couple. They liked the lovely pair and decided in their hearts that the rumor was simply a hoax, trying to taint the Crown Prince well sounded reputation. Who would look at some commoner when someone like her, a goddess, was around? Tonight they saw the best pair of their generation, the exceptional Crown Prince of Alcada and a mysterious goddess, whose every movement and mannerisms screamed elegance and nobility. The girl most likely came from the highest echelon. She wore herself with confidence and discipline, acted accordingly as she greeted everyone in the hall, not haughtily and not subserviently. She even drank in an elegant manner that those watching halted whatever they're doing as her luscious lips glittered due to the wine she just drank. It was such a dreamy masquerade ball especially when the two started dancing in the center of the vast hall. The two seemed to know each other real close so when they suddenly vanished into the garden, no one was much surprised. Many young men stayed by the balconies just to watch the girl along with the Crown Prince. Most of them were feeling stifled and yet defeated; on one side, the Crown Prince of the prestigious Alcada Royal Family and on the other, the beautiful but mysterious goddess. The two was simply perfect for each other. But of course, there were those who would not let go and have malicious intentions. One of them was the earlier apple of the eye in the banquet. Althea flashed a knowing smile on this scene and can't wait to go back home to goad the protagonist that the prince has already found another woman, someone much better than her. She couldn't accept that someone like that protagonist will beat her; she has nothing, no money, ordinary beauty, all simple charm and purity. Although she hated how this mysterious woman outshone her tonight she couldn't blame the Crown Prince especially if the girl was someone like this... like a goddess. But she's not that beautiful, of course not, there's more beautiful than her in the future, in the modern world. She's nothing really... just some face and body... and... 'Whatever. I should just ask great father to return early,' she thought.
